Though these animals come in under the worst of circumstances at times, it is comforting to know the officers they meet when they do have a genuine level of compassion for them.

The two people here (Matt and Chris, I believe) are very understanding and helpful. I'm so grateful that two very nice people are operating NKC Animal Control.

They looked got my report of my lost dog and called me as soon as they had a chance !! The staff is super nice and they really are great people :)))

The City of North Kansas City Animal Control and Shelter is available for phone calls between the hours of 8 AM and 6 PM - 7 days a week.
Please leave a voicemail after hours and we will return your call the next business day.
Shelter hours are Tuesday-Friday 2 PM to 6 PM, Saturday 10 AM to 2 PM, and by appointment on Monday. The shelter is closed on Sunday. (We can schedule appointments outside of the shelter hours in order to best serve our community)
