“We absolutely loved this daycare for our daughter, and she loved it, too! The only thing I would change is them taking infants so our youngest could go, too! I would, and do, recommend this daycare to anyone and everyone!”

“Feb 8 2020I want to start off by saying I am extremely biased towards the child development centers that I had the opportunity of putting my oldest in while I was active duty Navy. The ladies were almost all extremely patient, calm, and great teachers like Mrs. Loretta at kids ahoy who I mention below. It was exceptional care at a great price that my son LOVED which makes it hard for me to judge civilian daycares. My boys have been at kids ahoy for almost a year. Kids Ahoy I believe is a decent daycare for the cost and location. My oldest did flourish in his fine motor skills (coloring and writing). But since I started there spring of 2019 I did notice some of the teachers can be pretty negative and degrading. Sometimes when I get there in the morning the teachers already seem annoyed and frustrated which effects the children's moods and almost every afternoon I have heard teachers yelling/whining. Several teachers also talk down to the children and you can tell they are really trying to make them feel bad. My oldest is hyper and needs to be constantly doing things which can be hard to deal with. My children have been hurt and have hurt others but for my oldest it got progressively worse after I told them we are moving which I find very strange and they eventually asked me to remove him sooner than I planned. My son also had a hard time with another child who physically hurt several children including him and I believe this very negatively impacted him. They did end up removing that child. The best Teachers that I have delt with are most definitely Mrs. Loretta who sets clear boundaries and doesn't shame the kids which clearly shows in how the students respect her and Mrs. Courtney who is just very fun and loving. William also said he likes the newest Mrs. Kelly(I guess there is more than 1).I am not a perfect parent and work 1 hour away so my children spend 11-11.5 hours in daycare a day. I am unsure if the problems have been related to the way I discipline or the way the daycare does. I will update my review once my son settles into the new daycare as to his behavior and whether or not I believe it is more related to kids ahoy or myself.Update Mar 9thWell it's been over a month and my oldest continues to have problems at his new daycare. He says hes bored and it's hard to be good. So chances are it's more than just child care issues. He continues to gain knowledge but struggles with behaviour. However, the teachers are easier to work with which may be because I am there when they are sometimes and I am able to have conversations with them on how we can move forward. I have NEVER heard any of them yell and their discipline methods overall are consistent in each classroom which I love. My youngest is great and happy and has had no issues.”

“The staff at Bright Beginnings are always very caring and attentive. My grandson currently attends and loves his teachers. He even has to stop by the office to give the owner a hug on his way out the door when I pick him up.”
