Montana Procurement Technical Assistance Centers (PTACs) offer personal, timely advice on contracting with the government. The majority of our services are free and are available to businesses across Montana. Counseling and education are the key components of our program.
Located throughout the country, PTACs are part of the Procurement Technical Assistance Program (PTAP), authorized by Congress in 1985. PTACs are funded by federal dollars and matching funds from local nonprofit organizations or government agencies.The MT PTAC has seven sub-centers throughout the state, in Billings, Great Falls, Kalispell, Lewistown and Missoula. This procurement technical assistance center is funded in part through a cooperative agreement with the DOD.
