Unfortunately I thought it was actually pretty expensive for little things that you can go to walmart and get cheaper.

Depends on who's pricing is what sort of deals may be had there. I go regularly as I collect different types of glassware. Some times I will see items from the $1 Store priced higher than a $1. Some items are broke and priced high. It's a roll of the dice most days.
