Students and early-career professionals interested in working as clinicians, researchers, policy analysts, or advocates, are exposed to an innovative, liberal arts approach to pre-health education. Students will grapple with questions of advocacy, explore empathy and the culture of biomedicine, and reflect on how humanistic approaches provide an orientation toward compassionate engagement and serve as a guard against cynicism and fatigue in the complex work of healthcare. Sessions are led by top Dartmouth faculty, global health leaders, and clinicians to explore linkages between the humanities, social sciences, public health, and medicine.
