“I'm driving across the country and brought my car in for a comprehensive checkup. The car had almost 200k miles on it, so he changed the timing belt for us. There was a problem with a stuck and broken bolt during this change, and Rob worked on it for several days without changing the initial pricing he gave us for the much shorter initial job - in fact, we ended up on the lower end of the initial price range. He even handled dealing with a nervous and overly concerned mother, answering her questions smoothly and graciously and even adding a few of her requested last minute adjustments as we were heading out.”

“I had a flat tire on Rte 31 at the turnoff for Hopewell. By the time I got to Hopewell the tire was totally flat and I was driving on the rim. I pulled over and went into a store and asked for help. The store owner provided it in the form of Duncan from Boro Collision at 56 Model Street in Hopewell, NJ. He came right over and put my spare tire on and said he would order me a new tire and put that on too. He advised me to stay off the road if I could, to not drive over 50 mph, on the spare and he took a picture of my tire( all four of which were brand new)and said he would call me when the tire came in. He called the next afternoon and I drove slowly over to Hopewell and Duncan put the new tire on. I met the owner and ascertained that they have an emergency towing service and do oil changes. So now I have a good, reliable mechanic nearby whom I trust and like. A win/win for everyone? and I’m glad i had that flat tire.”

My mistake for not knowing or even asking about the cost prior to dropping off my rim and tire to be changed.The tube stem was, as he showed me when I picked it up this morning, very corroded and therefore needed to be replaced (my bad for presuming motorcycles have tubeless tires).When I spoke to him about his charge being greater than my cost for the tire, he eased my concerns and we negotiated a price that I think is fair.He's a very personable guy,... yeah, I'd hang with him.Service: Tires”
