“I am rewriting my review. My car showed defective breaks and charger in less than 2 months. I thought we got a great deal but we didn’t. Service doesn’t take concerns seriously. We had to keep calling service to reach someone, then finally reached a person named Willey. Mechanic told us that car has defective breaks need to be scraped bec they’re worn out even it’s new. When we test drove it, we mentioned to sales associate Nayeem about squeaking sound. What we were told later on is to just get car wash. It’s been almost a week and they don’t have answers why car is defective. Both dealership and service are not being transparent about what really the issue is. This is very suspicious.”

“I went in for an estimate to repaint my entire car and within minutes Miguel quoted me a very reasonable price. The 25 year old clear coat was flaking, the paint itself was fading badly and a rusty dog leg was due to be restored. A week later, I dropped it off on Monday morning and by Saturday afternoon it was ready to be picked up. The paint job came out beautifully and the metallic sparkle which fully faded in the old paint was now brought back to showroom quality. However, their prep work could definitely be improved as there was paint overspray on the tires and inside the car on the wiper stock and driver door window control switches. The overall end result and quality of work is a good deal considering the price. Miguel made the entire process transparent and simple.”

Recently, I visited New Jersey and had a rental car. Unfortunately, someone scraped the back quarter panel above the wheel-well and bumper when they were either pulling in or out of a parking space, and they were not honest enough to leave a note about how to get in touch.
No, I did not get the added insurance because I had the rental for three weeks and it was too much money. Knowing how costly AutoBody shops usually are, I decided to try to fix the problem myself. This was a big mistake! I looked at what I had just done and realized I now had to find an auto body shop to fix my mess. But where do I find a reputable and honest AutoBody shop, that could take me as soon as possible, and not charge me an arm and a leg to repair it?
The first thing I did was look up AutoBody shops in Morris County, and started reading the reviews. One immediately jumped out at me, and as I read one review after another, I knew in my heart that this is where I needed to go.
I drove to Karl’s AutoBody and walked into the office where I was greeted by a lovely woman. Kenny, the owner of Karl’s AutoBody, was also in the office at that time. I proceeded to tell them my tale of woe, and all about the mess that I created. I appreciated them, not laughing at me, when I told them I tried to fix the problem myself. They both went outside to look at the car with me. That’s when Kenny politely said, yeah, you should’ve never used that sanding sponge on the car. I agreed, there was no denying that. I asked him if he could help me out with this situation? He told me that I could drop the car off the next day, which I was very appreciative about because I was leaving town, and I only had a two day window to get this car fixed. I dropped the car off the next day, and within three hours, I had a phone call saying that the car was repaired and I could come to pick it up. I was shocked, that he was done already! Now I was worried, if he did it that quickly, how good of a job could he have done? Well, I couldn’t have been more wrong, because when I went back to pick up the car, I was astounded at how amazing the car looked and that you couldn’t see where the damage had been done. I was elated, that this nightmare was finally behind me. But then I thought, how much is this elation going to cost me? To be honest, I never discussed how much it would cost before I left that day because I knew it had to be done, and I only had a small window in which to get it fixed, so whatever it was, it was.

To say that Kenny was incredibly generous is an understatement! I was so grateful for the amount that he charged me that it literally left me speechless. I thanked him and his wife for being a blessing to me, and that without them, I would probably had to have paid the car rental company hundreds of dollars.

Afterwards, we stood there talking for quite awhile about all different things, and I truly felt like I had known them my whole life, yet I had only met them the day before. I hugged them both goodbye, and told them there was no way that I could repay them for what they had done for me. But then I thought I could do something, I could tell people my story, and if it helps someone to make a decision on where to go to get their autobody repaired, I would hope that they would consider Karl's AutoBody in Morristown, New Jersey, because this is where you will get decades of experience in autobody repair, honesty, the fairest price in town and a really great person to deal with.”

“Don’t believe the negative reviews. John is knowledgeable and delightful to deal with and is honest. Old school service which is very difficult to find. He really knows what he’s doing and doesn’t price gouge. It was just by chance I found John. I was rebounding from an horrific experience with Denville Bear and Body Morristown and Denville after being satisfied with their work for over 15 years. My Saab 2006 Aero convertible had so much damage in an accident insurance wanted to total it, but I didn’t want to as it only had 70,000 miles. It had been towed to Denville Bear and Body Morritown , and I waited over 6 months for repairs. After 3 complaints my headlamps weren’t set right and a rude employee who was annoyed at me for complaining. The roll up bars had ejected and from the website Just Answer spoke to a Saab expert who sent me a diagram on how to reset the roll up bars. I took the car to my Saab mechanic in Boonton who finally fixed the headlights and told me the roll up bars were reset but the lock box which would eject them again was never installed even Denville Bear and Body had a detailed illustration. They had been paid over $7500.00 for their work and there was out of pocket for me. The front lower bumper is very low and can scrape very easily. I went to see an owner in Denville, Kurt, and when I told him I had to pay for repairs that they had failed to do and got paid for. He said he would repaint my low bumper no charge. When I picked the car up there was a light on on the exterior that wouldn’t turn off. I went directly to my Saab mechanic who told me the wires for the lights weren’t installed properly and charged me $350.00 to fix them. The car never should have been released to me by Denville Bear and Body who should have repaired the problem. I went back to Kurt to ask him to pay me for costs to me for a wiring problem he should have addressed before releasing the car to me. He said he wouldn’t reimburse me and did more than he had to to compensate me for the inferior workmanship on my car. Note that the Morristown location has a broken gravel driveway and you risk damage from the gravel after picking up your repaired car. STAY AWAY FROM DENVILLE BEAR AND BODY.
John can be trusted and I’m thankful to have found him. Hopefully I won’t ever need auto body work again, but if I should John at Morristown Auto Body will be my go to person.”

“Edit August 2026: The review below was written pre-Covid when this shop was called Robbie's Collision Repair. I have no idea how Crash Champions compare to Robbies. But Robbies was awesome!!!

Great workmanship! I was rear ended at a red light that caused damaged to my bumper cover/valance/diffuser. All these items had to be replaced. I was given an initial estimate from the insurance company. However, once Robbies took off the bumper cover, he saw additional hidden damage (rear impact bar, lower molding, skid plate along with a few other smaller items).

Sinclair (one of Robbie's appraiser) immediately notified me of the situation and assured me he will get in contact with the insurance company to work with them so get the additional damages repaired/replaced as well.

Sinclair was on point the entire time my car was in the shop (total of 4 days). He kept me updated on the status almost on a daily basis via email communication.

Once the work was completed, I inspected the car and it looks brand new. Body gaps are just as good as factory gaps. The paint matched perfectly, and dare I say.....even better quality than factory paint as I noticed some orange peel in some lower panels with the factory paint.

Ed was the body guy that worked on my car and he did an awesome job!

Overall, I was extremely happy with my experience at Robbie's. I valued the open line of communication I had with Sinclair. He explained exactly what was taking place and gave me a heads up on what I should expect during the repairs.

I also run dual dashcams in my car. After I got the car back, I reviewed the dashcam footage when they had the vehicle.The guys are top notch professionals using top end tools (Snap On) along with top end equipment. Handled the car with respect. 5 star in my books!”
