“Another reason why you should shop local! Bought a few 5 gallons of paint a week ago. They told me as long as it's not opened. I can return anything I don't use. As you know a 5 gallon bucket of paint is quite heavy. I went to return 1 gallon and I could not find parking in front and there was no way I was getting it in my self from parking elsewhere. Called the store and they told me that they have a parking lot in the back and told me exactly how to get there off of Personette. 15 years I've been coming here and I have never known they had a lot in the back so a good FYI for everybody to know. I get there and the gentleman was waiting out back for me with a cart. I can never say enough good things about this store. They are always very helpful and they always go out of their way and this is why you should always shop local especially for paint at Paintland!!!”

“Great paint, great service! I ordered Much Smarter interior paint and had it shipped. I was expecting it would take a little while to get it. After 3 days the owner called to apologize for it taking so long! I was amazed at the service. And the paint was perfect! Several people helped me paint a bedroom and everyone raved about the coverage, the quality, the lack of drips, and low odor, etc. After painting the whole room there was some odor and it did bother me a little but we aired it out and it seemed fine the next day. We did mix it a few times but it didn’t separate out like other paints have. And it has taken me a while, so I’ve been working from the same can for a few months.”

Ryan was super helpful, so much so that he has managed to get Hunter Douglas to replace the entire window treatment at no charge to me. “As a lifelong resident of Jersey City, I only first visited Tsigonia a few days ago in search of purchasing Benjamin Moore paint. I called the day before I visited to make sure they were going to be open and what their hours were and spoke to the nicest man on the phone. I had the pleasure of meeting Stanley upon my first trip to the store and it was such an amazing experience. He's so pleasant, helpful, genuine, and knowledgeable. It really took me back in time to experience such true customer service. He made such an impression on me. Stanley walked me through everything I needed, even mentioning things I didn't consider, giving me options to choose from, saying 'we want to make sure we have this right'. In this day and age, where are you going to find someone who actually cares about the color and finish of how you're deciding to paint your home? To me, that caliber of character speaks volumes in the day and age where you're likely to be flagging down someone for help in a store because they aren't around or are glued to a device. Anyway, I ordered the first batch of what I needed from him, and some samples to try. I made my mind up over the week, and called in the rest of my order because I would be arriving for pick up close to their closing time and wanted to be respectful of operational hours. Stanley was so precise, patient, and thorough with my order, 6 different colors and a variety of finishes within them - all to a T. My order was ready and accurate, all waiting to be paid for by the time I arrived. This man is truly such a role model for customer service, for this business, and the human race. Stanley, you are an angel.”
