“I purchased a 16 lb turkey and a 12 lb turkey breast for thanksgiving, however due to family members having covid and not being able to attend dinner, I put the turkey breast in the freezer and I just re-did thanksgiving dinner for my family that could'nt make it in November. “I was greeted upon entry there were other people that appeared to be regulars. I was asked if I needed help but it was first time so I said I had no decided on everything yet. They gave me time and a gentleman helped I told him I didn't quite need the plans posted but wanted to come up with my own. He said that was fine and I told him what I needed and he went and got everything and rang me up. Bottom line this where I'm getting my meat from now on.?? ?? ?? ??”

“Old-school Italian butcher & deli! They make their own sausage & fresh mozzarella! Grabbed lunch - ordered The Naples sandwich: Chicken cutlet, imported prosciutto, fresh mozzarella, broccoli rabe, roasted peppers, extra virgin olive oil and balsamic vinegar. The bread was awesome (this usually makes or breaks a great sandwich). Everything was fresh, clean, and delicious. Owner & his wife were super friendly. Their stuffed breads were cut in half; they were stuffed to the max. I can't wait to return & try other things here! Purchased some fresh mozzarella & some treat for home too.”

The customer service is great nothing more i could ask for from a halal butcher shop, it is way better here than the location i used to go to their meat was questionable to me but i havent had the feeling here..”

“I stopped here on my way home to MD out of curiosity. The shop is mentioned in a CJ BOX novel. It's just a short distance from I95. Excellent and friendly service in a clean, well organized store. I purchased 4 varieties of sausage. My husband, a chef, said, "That guy knows what he is doing. The Brazilian chicken sausage is the best I have ever had." I will visit again the next time my travels take me through Newark.”

“This store is really special, and has easily grown into one of my top three favorite spots in Montclair. It certainly has the feel of days gone by in all the best of ways. The food is fresh, they have an immaculate menu of sandwiches (and this includes for vegetarians!) and ready-mades. They also have a really fantastic, specialized selection of dried pastas, snacks, sauces, jams, etc. My husband and I went for the first time earlier this month and we were really blown away by this gem. The staff and (who I presumed to be) the owner are courteous, clearly work hard, and are friendly. I asked for several different sandwiches, half a pound of their homemade turkey breast, and some premades, and it seemed to be during a rush hour. I had a question about their selections, and while the staff that was helping me didn't know the answer, she didn't blow over it and instead made sure to check with the owner. This was in the middle of rush hour and there was a strong and consistent line of people; the owner, in spite of all the running around and multitasking, made sure to get me an answer and responded in such a kind and friendly way. It really made me nostalgic for more specialty stores that are run by actual people instead of a generic, mass marketed, one stop capitalist shop. Truly, Rosario's reinforces the ideology of 'shop local.' Highly recommend!”

“I cannot express how grateful I am that I found this deli! I live in Parsippany and work out of newark. Whenever I want to get a good kosher pastrami sandwich, I always had to drive to kosher nosh in Teaneck! Well that’s over. I found this place and I couldn’t be happier. They even had the calves feet bones that I have been searching for , for over a month to make my grandmas old school p’tcha. They were super friendly and I couldn’t be happier about this establishment. Thanks again!!”

Our wedding was held outside at a private residence on Lake Hopatcong and ensuring the offsite catering (both the food and service) ran smoothly was critical for this plated, sit down event of 130 people. Ben and Liz worked with us through all the details leading up to the event and did an awesome job the day of. Our guests loved the creative passed hors d'oeuvres (Gazpacho Shooter, Bison Steak Tartare etc.) during cocktail hour. “This particular store in Caldwell is our favorite.We usually get sandwiches sides and a drink. It's our weekend lunch spot when we don't travel. Everything is fresh, the store is clean and the staff is friendly. We may consider doing a holiday meal plan from here soon. Portions are reasonable.”
