“We have been sending our daughter to KinderCare Manhasset for approx 6 months. During this time, we have faced some challenges that have been out of the centers control (teachers getting sick/quitting at short notice). However, despite these challenges we have also seen the benefits and exceptional care this center gives our child. Our daughter comes on happy and excited every single day. She has made friends and is learning so much! Every place as challenges but it’s how you respond to the challenge that sets you apart. Manhasset Kinder care has shown that it ca thrive through challenge and proved it can provide a nurturing environment for our children”

The teachers truly love the kids, and if that was it I'd be thrilled but on top of that, the amount my kids are learning is astounding. They will be so far ahead of the game once they start kindergarten.”

“I’ve had the best experience at Ivy prep. My daughter went since she was 8 months and believe me when she left this school she was advanced for kindergarten. The school is clean, the teachers are attentive and loving. The food is well balanced. I was contacted for everything and the learning is phenomenal. I would put my next kid here if I needed to.”

“My 2 girls have been going here for the past year and love it. They love their teachers and all the activities they do with them. One of my girls started kindergarten this year and Ms. Jo & Ms. Johnna prepared her for school. She learned so much in their pre-k program. In the morning the girls were always so excited to go to the school they would forget to give us a hug goodbye. They come home daily with arts and crafts and we love seeing them have fun in pics on their Facebook page.”

“I took the microblading and SMP training with Jina and Dana . They are a very great instructor and very sweet. I’ve learned so much from them.She is very patient and takes her time to explain things to make sure I understand.I would definitely recommend taking this class with Jina”

“Linda and her team worked worked very hard to accommodate my 1 year old son into their infant program.The school has been a blessing to my family. The Day care has very flexible hours and they allow drop off as early as 7AM and pickup as late as 6PM which is wonderful for working parents, such as myself.The Daycare provides Breakfast, lunch and snacks. The meals are Kosher (we prefer Halal & Kosher food) and are prepared fresh daily.The teachers are amazing! The wonderful teachers really make this place what it is, and my son looks forward to going there every day.Communication is terrific and we are notified of everything. I receive pictures daily of my son participating in various activities. My husband and I have noticed a huge change in his development and the school has helped him achieve all of the important milestones.I cannot recommend this school enough!I am very grateful to Linda and her staff for taking care of my son and for providing him with so much love and care, while he is away from home.”

“Our youngest went to Chaminade for high school and graduated in 2019. He "survived" his four years (JK), thrived socially, and excelled academically. He was totally prepared when he got to college and graduated as a biomedical engineer in 2023. He's headed to U-Michigan for his doctorate. Totally credit Chaminade for his success as they prepared him very well. My best advice is encourage your student to find his people - be it in sports, science, or drama, as a strong friend group makes all the difference between feeling connected or alienated there. No school is perfect, but overall, my student did very well there and has lifelong friends.”

Madhu keep the parents and teachers with good communication… My kids clearly feel the love and warmth from their teachers, which is invaluable as a parent. It is hard to trust others to care for your children, especially infants, when you wish as a parent you could do it yourself. “After spending the first 15 months at home with baby, the process of finding a great daycare that would met my needs and wants was not an easy task. From the minute we came for a tour, baby was very responsive, walking up to the administrative staff. It was clear my child was very pleased and enjoyed the environment.Having access to the app to see all the pictures that are posted and any questions I may have during the day is also an added benefit. Since starting at the wooden shoe, there is so much noticeable social development that we have witnessed, especially learning. Singing the alphabet , counting and just more socially excited and engaged with people are some of the few benefits of this daycare. Most importantly, from the minute I drop off my child I am not anxious, worried or concerned, because I know they are being properly cared for and loved on. All the teachers know my childs name and are soo kind. Kids want to feel important and have a desire for belonging. I can see by the way my child is excited about daycare from the minute we park the car out front, that they feel the love from everyone there. Every meal, diaper change and naps are tracked in the app, thats some great attention to detail. Even when you are away you can still keep track of what your child is doing in the day, its nice.Some other things I like that are not related to childcare, i really like how responsive the administrative staff is. I can send an email in the morning and get extremely fast responses. As a healthcare professional, I take professionalism extremely seriously, so this is a huge plus. I really like how they present themselves when it comes down to my questions and providing answers. Also, we communicate with the teacher what we are teaching our child at home, and the teacher reinforces that in school and vice versa. Its great all around.Daycare is an investment in your child's future. And this is an investment that we are extremely happy to make. This place is an answered prayer, very grateful to God for everyone at the Wooden Shoe :)”

“In 2015, Discovering Me welcomed our family, and now after 8 years and 3 children in the program we must sadly say our goodbyes. We feel so grateful to have found this program!Discovering Me provides a child friendly learning environment, with many opportunities for kids to be independent. All three of my children mastered many self help skills needed for everyday tasks, that made my life a whole lot easier. The program maintains positive adult-child relationships, and encourages family engagement. Carol and Laurie prepare monthly newsletters to inform families of the happenings and add friendly reminders. The program follows daily routines, and schedules that helped my children feel safe and secure in knowing what to expect when they arrived at school each day. We always looked at the monthly calendar sent home to see what the themes were each week. My kids loved looking for books or toys related to the theme and on occasion I was convinced to buy clothes to match the theme. My daughter now has a very stylish dinosaur dress.All three of my children were lucky to have Mrs. Christine, and assistant Ms. Dee. She has a great reputation in the community, and she is a passionate teacher that provides a warm and comforting environment. All of my kids LOVED going to school and talk about Mrs. Christine as if she is part of our family.I firmly believe that building an early positive association with learning is essential to our kids' growth. All of my children found a solid beginning at Discovering Me. The graduation ceremony is magnificent. They really do a great job!”

“Very good elementary school my child attends this school and this his last year. Children are thought to be like a family looking out for each other, caring environment, safe and respectful. The principal runs a tight ship and knows each children by name which is amazing. They also offer small class settings and services for special need children. My child progress a lot with the help of his educators who dedicate they time and a lot of effort to help them keep up with his peers. Very clean and well keep building with nice size classrooms.”
