“Delicious chocolates and candy, make excellent gifts! When you walk in, everything smells both delicious and clean. Your eyes immediately grow larger than your stomach because there's something (multiple things) to satisfy any and every sweet tooth: chocolate truffles, peanut butter chocolate, mint chocolate, licorice, sour candies, chocolate covered pretzels, Jordan almonds, themed goodies (holiday, sports, cars, new baby, etc.) The folks working there are so nice and offer excellent service; they'll gift wrap any box beautifully! I almost want to gate keep this spot as my go to gift shop, but I have to share as I want the business to do as spectacularly as possible”

You'll discover an abundance of traditional candies that your folks or grandparents used to enjoy, categories like "parlays" that you've never heard of (yet my mom, for instance, has long yearned for...harkening back to her youth). Some of these delights have become impossible to locate anywhere, but you'll have no problem finding them here...so the gift possibilities are endless and guaranteed to make you the family favorite the next time you show up for a Sunday or holiday dinner! I wish the cost weren't so prohibitive or I'd treat myself regularly, but as it stands now, I only shop here for gifts for loved ones...if only I could afford to be a regular (although I'd end up having to shop for larger clothing, so I guess it's a good thing that the prices are high!) Check them out - I assure you, you'll not be disappointed!”

“I live in Atlanta and have been ordering online from Lazar’s for close to 20 years. My co-workers/friends sent me a box for the holidays a long time ago, and my husband and I quickly became addicted. It is by far our favorite chocolate ever. Any time we buy chocolate we compare it to Lazar’s, and nothing else has come close. We love to pick out our own custom boxes, which we usually do about three times a year. And I’ll often buy a custom box for friends or family throughout the year too (which is always appreciated). I honestly couldn’t tell you which piece is my favorite, because every one is better than the next. There’s something so special about this chocolate (and anything with caramel is magical) that I just appreciate the experience of eating it every time. I’m always a little sad when I finish the last piece. We’re hoping to get to Great Neck to check out the greatest chocolate in person a soon.”

“Great spot for when you're craving something cold and fresh! I ordered the fresas con crema, the sweetness of the cream mixed with the slightly tart (but still fresh!) strawberries was perfect for the summer heat, and a good sized portion. Staff members were also very friendly and welcoming! They have a large menu with plenty to choose from, and it's my understanding that they're known for their mangoneada, so I'll definitely come back to try that!”

“My sister lives near this place and was I so happy to stumble by!!! They have sugar-free chocolates!! I spent good money and I'll do it again next time I'm in town!!! “Friendly guy at the counter gave some recommendations. They stock items from Albania and their neighbors in the Balkans. I noticed many types of ajvar ( it's a spicy red pepper and eggplant spread), paprika, teas, and packaged pastries and biscuits. I found a Greek 'mountain tea' to try. It is sideritis or iron wort and naturally used for anemia. I would recommend stopping by to explore and bring home different ingredients to try.”
“I had lived around the corner from this place for 5+ years (and when I move back this is the first place I am stopping at). The couple who owns the place are some of the nicest people I have ever met. For example, this one time I must have looked confused while checking out some imported soda (I had no experience on the mechanism to open it). They saw I was having an issue, stopped what they were doing, and showed me. Always with a smile.”
