“I brought my cat in because he was not eating as usual and seemed listless. He had a cut on his side and I thought it may have gotten infected. I did not have an appointment but the booking assistant squeezed me in and I did not wait long at all. The Dr and her assistant were very kind and thoroughly examined my buddy and did not find any infection or anything seriously wrong but they cleaned the cut and gave him a shot for arthritis (which worked well) - he can now jump up on the bed again! I am very very pleased with this vet and highly recommend them to other pet lovers.”

The clinic is small but I can see why it is so busy and highly recommended by others. The doctor and tech were amazing, my 6 month old corgi melted right into their arms as he was getting examined. “My 14.5 yr old cat was throwing up every 2-3 days, not eating, had 2 seizures, very smelly soft poops and yowling 2 hours each morning the last three weeks. My regular vet took blood work on 12-19-23 and only saw mild anemia their ekg was down, half their staff had respiratory illness and it was the holidays. We went to Williamsburg on Xmas eve because she had a 2 nd seizure and all they could do is recommend we leave her so they could observe another one, no ekg or sonogram, so we took her home. We were at our wits end, just helplessly watching her die. Then we found Austin street veterinary. We called on 12-27-23 and they saw us that evening, treated us with the upmost caring and respect. They did bloodwork, EKG gave our baby fluids for her extreme hydration and we had a sonogram appointment scheduled for 1-2-24. They did everything they could to help and we were not alone anymore. Unfortunately on 12-28-23 our “Little One” stopped eating and was in pain so we put her down. The bloodwork came back extremely anemic, liver and kidneys extremely elevated and possibly poisoning (we were feed Purina Live Clear). We will never forget their kindness and how they tried to help us. We would highly recommend them to anyone that has a pet. They can’t do miracles, but they care and that means a lot when your pet is ill.”

“Our Malchi Kobe saw Dr Kaye today. Although our pup is not feeling so well I must say that as always DrKaye and his assistant and the staff were so supportive and helpful to our pup and us. It’s nice to know that they truly care about your little family member .. and to boot the beautiful receptionist gave me free cat food samples for our outside feral cat Twinkles to take home!!!!! She loves it too !!! She went out of her way to give us bags and cases samples of food !!! Kindness goes along way and this office always goes above and beyond!”

The staff was kind and professional with an amazing bedside manner.We came back a week ago because this same pup was not doing well, and we knew we might have to make that tough decision. The same vet tech (?) was there, and she remembered our girl. She was so kind before the doc came in.The doc and vet tech both examined her, and we had an honest discussion about what was best for our dog. We ended up putting her to sleep and appreciate the kind and supportive nature of all the staff.We chose to be with our dog as it all happened. Additionally, we cremated our dog and had her remains sent to us. The packaging was beautiful along with a paw print plaster-cast.”

“I took my little furry girl for a checkup, and I was pleased with the attention received. I will have to return in 2 weeks for a possible surgery once she's cleared. I received estimates from Bond Vet and other veterinarians, and they were asking for over $3000 dollars for such a minor procedure. They were basically out there for my money and nothing else. I was fortunate to get an appointment and have my little girl examined by the doctor. The estimate is appropriate for the procedure that she needs. I recommend them as they are very compassionate and affordable. I'm very happy to have found Astoria Animal Society. Thank You!”
