“I went in there with the intention of just checking some mattresses out but ended up buying mattress thanks to the sales guy Steve. I forgot his last name but he also went by another name that looked like Steve but wasn’t. He was of extreme help. After I told him I just needed to check out the mattresses and that I’ve been doing research on the mattresses, he just gave me a quick breakdown of where everything is and the new products they got as well as the mattresses that was taking out of display and being sold at 50 percent off. He gave me a beautiful amount of time to check everything out alone ( which I couldn’t be anymore grateful for). I stumbled upon one pf the mattresses that was 50 percent off, it was a beautyrest black c class plush pillow top (the mattress that I REALLY wanted but was too expensive). Steve then comes back to help me out and explained to me the deal with the 50 percent off mattresses in a helpful and professional manner. I was iffy about owning a matress many customers went to check out but Steve insured me that it’s not as bad as I thought it was. He explained that he also is a germaphobe and would use that same mattress, he said it doesn’t even matter, that right there sold me on the mattress. There is way too much to this story but he was also giving me many other alternatives and what each mattress would provide for my body as well as what’s inside of the mattress and what they doo. He didn’t even stop there, when walking to customer pay area he would break into conversation about the other products he has and where they are made and what materials were used, that right there is a great sales men. I had 2 terrible experiences in the raymour store near the Starbucks in farmindale. They are of no help whatsoever, they also breath right down your neck and it’s very uncomfortable. Steve your great ?”

“I went to the Babylon Village today . My favorite shop was "Sol Y Luna." It's a little gem in a charming town. From top to bottom, the shop was filled with beautiful items, may of which were festive, unique, &/or colorful. The shop owner was so pleasant and sweet. She has a talent for finding special merchandise and displaying them just right.”

“In todays day and age it is very hard to find a store that backs there product the way David the owner and Dinette and Lighting Plaza have done four times for us in the years we have lived in Commack,NY. Our first kitchen set was from them and I was short two chairs from the set I bought for a moving in party. David and his Dad went upstate to get me the two chairs so I would have them in time. I remember saying wow what great and I have never for got what they did for me. That was 22 years ago. My second set I bought from them had chairs and after a few years needed to be redone and David advised us to restuff the chairs and recover them. They came back looking like brand new. Was very happy. Unfortunately just under 2 years the leather on the seats started to crack and I called David and he said to bring in the chair. After seeing the chair David honored redoing them and recommended restuffing them so they would come out right. Since we had a problem as always price wise he did right by us and backed his product and they came out beautiful. I believe most other stores would not of helped us after that time period and turned us away. I would highly recommend David and Dinette and Lighting to anyone. They stand for the word customer service. They also have beautiful furniture, fixtures and Tables. David is kind, honest and caring and there work is beautiful. You would not be disappointed at all. Just happy you used them. His prices are great too and he is always fair. Thanks David for everything.”

He customized embroidered sweatshirts for me for a gift that I needed for that night and when there was a small mistake in the embroidery, he remade them the next day and shipped them all for free. The Medford location provided me with excellent ordering experience while Hauppauge and Riverhead went above and beyond my expectations with pick up. They have special pro pricing, have a huge selection and can basically get anything one needs for their flooring project in a short amount of time. For years I shopped at the big two big box stores but now I am switching my needs to this smaller flooring store chain based on the more personal experiences.”

It is not for the light of pocketbooks as it is pricey, but the quality of what you are paying for. They have rooms set up, so it is possible to see how the items would fit in a room. So, it is a good place to go for ideas. We may go back for some specific items, but as a whole, it is out of our price range.”
