My husband ordered crab cakes. I got the Captain's platter. The service was very good and the food was delicious. We'll make it a point to eat here on future trips.

Sadly we didn't take any pictures, but if you're hungry around lunchtime - come here. Totally worth it, great food, great staff, quick turn around.
Sonny's Restaurant has been serving locals and visitors alike since 1975 when Snowden Quidley & his son, Sonny first opened in Hatteras village.
Serving, breakfast, lunch and dinner Sonny''s quickly became the place to eat.
Breakfast starts the day with enormous pancakes, biscuits covered in sausage laden gravy and eggs cooked to perfection. Every member of the family will surely find something that they will dream about coming back for.
The lunch menu is full of reasonably priced menu items. While seafood options abound, soups, salads, burgers and sandwiches insure that there is something for everyone.
Dinner ends the day with seafood, steaks, pasta & nightly specials.
