I am super protective of my golden retrievers and I worry about one in particular who has severe anxiety so I scheduled a behavioral consult with Dr. O, and it was amazing. Didn’t feel rushed, felt heard and was able to come up with a plan for my fur baby. I was able to bring my parents (who spend a lot of time with my fur baby) and the staff welcomed them with open arms. I had some financial struggles and had to cancel appointments because of it and not once did the staff make me feel bad about my situation. They understood, and were very respectful. I’m very grateful for this place, the people, and the entire fear free environment.”

We had to bring my really skittish cat in due to behavioral issues and some serious medical issues, we explained the situation and they took care of everything. “Dudley, a Newfoundland, ingested some extremely poisonous topical medication. 24 hours later was collapsing on all fours and shaking head from side to side. “We have used Alex Bell Veterinary Clinic for a very long time. Our dogs are also groomed here. Because none of our dog sitters were available, we decided to board them here over a weekend. We were allowed to bring our own homemade dog food and our dogs own beds. We were very pleased with the kindness of those caring for our dogs and their politeness towards us as well. We will definitely leave our dogs in their care again!”

Once there they took a look and even throw the news is not great he will be ok even if the the road could be long . My dog was aggressive and very difficult to work with due to his pain and fear, but they were able to get him in and out in less than an hour. “My husband and I were traveling from New York to Dayton, OH back in November 2023 with our 11-year-old mini aussie, Cassie. About two hours into our 10-hour drive, she started vomiting, was very lethargic, and could no longer walk. We immediately registered her online at Dayton Care Center to be seen around our estimated arrival time. When we arrived about 8 hours later, they were ready for us. The women at the front desk looked at her gums and told us that because her gums were pale, they suspected internal bleeding. They immediately took her to the back room and started working on her. I wish I could remember the woman's name at the front desk - she had very short buzz cut hair and kept us updated while we sat in the waiting room. She was very kind, but also made sure we understood the seriousness of the situation, asking us if we wanted to sign a DNR for our dog. After maybe 30 minutes in the waiting room, we were bought into a private room to meet with Dr. Colvin about the bloodwork results and possible diagnosis. It turned out our sweet girl had hemolytic anemia; they said she'd be there for a few days so they could do blood transfusions and try to determine the cause of the anemia (cancer, tick related, etc.). They let us see her again before we left than night and gave us as much time as we wanted. The following morning, I called to check in on her. The nurse that took my call was very kind and said Cassie was resting peacefully while in line to get an abdominal ultrasound. About ten minutes later, Dr. Ernst called and told me that they gave Cassie a light sedative prior to the ultrasound and that her heart stopped. He gave me time to grieve and called back a few minutes later to speak with my husband about next steps. We were only in town for 4 days, but they made sure to have her cremated before we had to leave back to New York.In the short 16 hours that Cassie was in their care, I felt that she was always in good hands. They did everything they could to save her, even though it ultimately didn't work out. I will forever be grateful for the kindness that they showed us. After we got back home, we even received a card from the Dayton Care Center, signed by the staff that worked on Cassie. It was so very sweet and appreciated.”

“I'm beyond thankful we I found Dr. Olp! My golden baby Ashton has been through the ringer with his hypothyroidism, but when we switched to Bigger Road with Dr. Opl that has changed! She was the best vet I've ever met! My big guy was nervous when she walked in because he's been through so much at previous vets. She took off her white coat, tools, and got on the floor with him. He went over to her and let her love on him! She had her whole visit with us on the floor loving on him. Not mention the treats he got for being a good boy. Her bedside manner and just personality is so loving and friendly! I highly recommend Bigger Road!”
