I remember the thrill of catching my first fish, a beautiful Rainbow Trout, at the Franklin Club back in 1967. Many thanks to my old friends the Mahoney family. The Club is wonderful.

The Franklin Fishing Club is an amazing spot only 15 minutes from Newmarket. If you're a Trout fisher you won't be disappointed. Emma was a very friendly and efficient server and my lunch was delicious. Especially the home made butternut squash soup. I'm honoured to have been invited as a guest.

Established in 1909, The Franklin Club is a year round fly fishing, spin fishing, ice fishing club for all anglers in the Toronto area. Members, including spouses are encouraged to invite their families and friends to participate in a wide range of outdoor activities available at The Franklin Club.
Located forty-five minutes north of Toronto, near the town of Mount Albert, The Franklin Club is a member-owned, private recreational fishing club specializing in spin casting and fly-fishing for rainbow and speckled trout in our lake and two ponds.
