What a little treasure! The food was absolutely delicious, fresh, unique, homemade. Then, a lovely book store with great finds on top of it! So glad I stopped!
JaxDog Café & Books is known for hearty and healthy homemade soups, quiche, salads and weekly entrée specials with frequent vegetarian and vegan options; pastries and bread all made from scratch daily; serving Spella Caffè Coffee Roasters espresso, handmade hot chocolate and a variety of premium organic teas. The bookshop carries unique greeting cards, journals, calendars; a quality selection of new and used books, vintage volumes and classics. The business is named for the owners’ rescue border collie – Jax was a good boy – and is located in La Grande's historic downtown district.
