“Last Thursday my worst nightmare happened. My five year old dog went in for a foreign body surgery at our regular vet and it turned out to actually be a hole in her duodenum, which required specialized surgery that her vet had never done before. We were sent to Metro where we met Dr. Guant who was very compassionate towards my husband, myself, and our dog Laika. He explained what was going to happen, gave the estimate, and thoroughly answered our questions. We felt very comfortable leaving Laika there and driving the hour home.
After surgery, her surgeon Dr. LK gave us hopeful but guarded news about our pup. He seemed very confident that the procedure itself went well but she needed to be monitored after being septic, and he was able to do a less invasive procedure rather than a resection. Again, we were so worried for her but so thankful she had access to this specialist who did what was best for her.
The next several days she spent time with criticalists Dr. Tumielewics and Dr. Morgan who were very accommodating to our daily visits and questions. We were always sad to leave her there but the doctors were fantastic. They both are very knowledgeable and had solutions to the various issues that popped up post op.
The nurses that worked with laika were also amazing. Laura and Jessi (and I’m sure others!) spent so much time with our dog who had never been away from home without us. Laika is a sensitive dog who spends most of her time with us or her dog siblings, so imaging her alone in her run was so hard. Thankfully we got daily updates on Laika’s snack times and snuggle sessions. Jessi also listened to me sob on the phone after having an especially tough update earlier in the week. I’ll be forever grateful for their compassion.
The front desk also was always very sweet and helpful! I witnessed them not only help me in this stressful time, but many other scared and emotional families. This is a very hard job, but the team at metro still steps up to the plate every day to help pets and families in need.”
“Dr. Holliday is an exceptional vet! She took time to explain everything and made sure I was comfortable with my pets treatment plan- part of which includes manually expressing my rabbits bladder, she demonstrated the proper technique and then let me try to make sure I was confident before I went home. I literally came 10 minutes before close and never felt rushed or insignificant to her. She’s the best exotic vet I’ve had!”

“I moved to KOP over a year ago, but I was taking my cats to my old vet an hour away since I was used to the team there. Well, that changed when two of my cats fell sick and I needed to be seen quickly. The staff at KOP vet were very kind and got me scheduled for the very next day. Dr. Arrison was fantastic, both at handling my cats and at explaining everything in a simple way to ease my worries. I wish I had come here with my pets sooner!”

I travel 40+ minutes each way to see Dr. Klein and the team (with 2 vets literally within 2 miles of my home) because of the relationship I have with this office and excellent care Animal Medical Center consistently extends to me and my pet.”

“I have been going to Limerick for a long time. I feel that they give excellent service. However, they are very expensive and in my opinion try to upsell. I decided to try HARLEYSVILLE at the recommendation of many people and although they are less expensive, the care and customer service is terrible. I’d rather pay more and know my pets are in good hands. I just need to be careful with what they are trying to add to the bill”
“So grateful to have this wonderful team taking care of my 4 senior dogs! They take the time to investigate and learn everything they can about our pets. We never feel rushed and no question is ever treated as stupid or dismissed. The entire staff is friendly and helpful. The one time my daughter was late, they were concerned and not punitive. She’d tripped over the dog’s leash and fell causing the delay. They offered her some gauze and kind words when she arrived with bloodied hands and knees. We’re almost always on time. Maybe being late to appointments at our old practice was because we were met with such indifferent hostility for not keeping on their 15 min per visit schedule. Valley Vet takes the time necessary to treat your pet not worried with rushing you out the door.”
“I have been bringing my dogs to Dr Whipple since 2012 and I trust her and Emma implicitly. When it was time to say goodbye to my soul dog Shiloh, they made his last moments so meaningful and precious. I’m thrilled that they are still offering integrative medicine and I know my new puppy Brownie will get excellent care from them. You have options besides throwing pharmaceuticals at your pets. “My mother showed up for her appt with her Mini Aussie. The person she had an appt with was a no-show. She was stressed at first but someone stepped up as this pup was in desperate need. Franki was taken care of very well and the whole family was pleased with her cut. The girl took her time and pampered her for hours - the royal treatment.”
