“Bottom line, Sam is a talented, honest mechanic, offering great value and transparent pricing! To find out how I came to that conclusion, keep reading...I happened to be in the Warwick,/East Greenwich area when I stopped into Sam's Auto and fuel for gas. As luck would have it, Sam the owner was pumping gas that day. Right away, he told me that I should use a lower octane gas for my SUV. I was surprised, because another mechanic had recommended the higher grade for my 19 year-old Mercury Mountaineer. That piqued my interest because it would result in a decrease of sales on his part. He explained the reasoning about lowering the octane and also took a cursory look at my vehicle. Sam said that if I ever wanted to improve performance/increase longevity to stop by his garage.About a month ago, my SUV started leaking from the bottoms around the sunroof. But there were other issues: it sounded super loud anytime I went over 30 mi/hr, it was sluggish during acceleration and needed general maintenance like front brakes and an oil change. I waited until I could leave if for a few days, and then I made an appointment with Sam.First thing Sam did right is he took his time talking to me in order to really understand EVERYTHING I was trying to accomplish. He let me know that it was going to be a significant repair while assuring me that after he looked at it, he would call back, discuss what needed to be done and give me an estimate.Second thing he did correctly was taking the car for a test drive. I had been begging my old mechanic to do this but the only thing he ever wanted to do was plug the vehicle into a computer. After the test drive, Sam told me a few things that would vastly improve the performance of the SUV. He went over things that were an absolute necessity and things that would be good for overall maintenance. In the end, everything he said sounded reasonable and made sense.But the best thing he did was the work itself!!. When I arrived to pick it up. He showed me all the old parts that were replaced. Took me step by step through the repairs. He did not nickel and dime me for a few of the additional things he did for free. It wasn't cheap but it was a tremendous value, totally worth it! Especially when he said I could probably get another 50,000 miles out of this vehicle with continued upkeep and maintenance.My Mountaineer is about 50% more quiet now! It took me a couple of days to get used to how fast it accelerates. It feels like Sam made the car 7 or 8 years younger. I highly recommend Sam's Fuel and Auto for any person that wants to extend the life of their car, improve performance and get the biggest bang for the automotive buck!”

“They were so nice! I came in to ask about a small spot of rust on my car door. A gentleman came out, looked at it, then came back and just sanded, applied something, painted it and fixed the spot right there! And didn't even charge! Then he answered my questions about other small dings and paint chips on my car, and recommended what to do with them. My usual car place said they didn't deal with rust spots, and referred me to Hal's for that. I guess Hal's Center does a lot of major repairs - there were cars lined up with bumpers missing or torn up in the parking lot, presumably waiting. It seemed pretty busy (must be popular?), but the folks still helped me with my spot of rust, and now I have peace of mind and more info on upkeeping my car!”

“I have stopped at this BJ's many times on my way to visit my mother-in-law, who lives in South County. I like that it has a gas station right on premises. The store is similar to other BJ's, where you can grab a coupon savings book right at the entrance to find out what's on sale.I went in to grab some disposable gloves and they had them at a good price.I love their self checkout lanes, which move a lot faster than the ones manned by staff.”

Why would you go here if you prefer to pump your own gas? Obviously the prices reflect that and the fact it’s near the highway. “This mechanic right here is an old fashioned, honest to goodness businessman. I brought my car in due to an alternator error and was fearing a $700 bill. After explaining everything to Frank, he figured out that it was only a belt and could save me hundreds of dollars on a pointless repair/replacement. He was honest from Go and was upfront about all charges or repairs. He is now my go to mechanic! Thank the heavens for this shop”

“This gas station / convenience store / smoke shop is amazingly spotless. It's privately owned and the staff is always friendly.I stop in regularly for gas and the occasional lottery ticket (when the jackpot is huge) . It's also a reliable spot to pick up milk for those 10 pm "oh shoot" situations. They have cash discounts for gas which is a decent deal. They have the typical assortment of cold drinks but also a huge assortment of groceries. The have the most random counter product which I'm not going to detail here. It's just...random. Of course. Seems like every convenience store is a smoke shop and this one is no exception. I'm not into any of that business but it's all here. Lots of parking. Easy in and out to the main road. They'll definitely continue to get my business.”

“Wasn’t to happy about the car wash did not do the job right for 24 dollars but the workers inside was very nice and polite and at first they could only give me another wash but I didn’t want another wash because it didn’t do the job the first time. Then I said is there a manager I can speak too and they were very polite and said no there isn’t. So I said to the workers can you call your manager and the manager was very nice and give me my money back. Yes I put 5 stars because the workers and manager was AWESOME and helped me out very well.”
