Avon Cinema is a one-of-a-kind and truly unique theatre, important to Providence and its community. It is an older theatre with a huge screen, holding much nostalgia. For decades, people have gone the extra miles to watch great cinema here. The staff has always been gracious, respectful, and helpful; they are real people. The pricing is outstanding. It also hosts special events like the Edgar Allan Poe Speakeasy, a great and riveting show with talented storytellers, unique drinks, and an amazing experience that is highly recommended. Many hope it remains on Thayer Street forever.

I love this theater so much but it has gotten more expensive. Great cookies that are good pricing tho. I wish they would add on cup holders to the seats. Especially since the type of soda they sell is difficult to hold on to once the film starts and it’s dark

Classic movie theater! Even has a curtain in front of the screen, and shows classic trailers for movies. The seats are small by today's standards, but this theater makes up for it in nostalgia. Delicious fresh popcorn, too!
