“The best fudge in Pawley's Island.We've been coming to this hidden gem for years. Nestled in the front of the Hammock shops, this store contains handmade mugs and homemade fudge that change seasonally. I'm particularly fond of the peanut butter fudge. They also make an excellent white tiger, which is a combination of peanut butter and vanilla fudge. You can buy seasonal specials like lavender lemon and chocolate-covered cherry in the summer or pumpkin and apple crumble in the fall.** UPDATED BELOW: Unfortunately, not wheelchair friendly. There are a few steps on both ends of the shop, making it difficult, or impossible for those with wheelchairs or larger mobility aids to access.*Edited - The owner has replied, and reminded me that the front entry does have a side ramp for wheelchair access! “In August of 2022 , my wife and I met with Mary , Chris and Melissa of Pawleys Cottage . We have owned a Condo in Litchfield By The Sea for 25 years . It was time for a total renovation but for such a large project and living in Northern Virginia, it seemed to be an enormous task to “ get it done RIGHT the first time !Melissa, Chris and Mary met with us and assured us they would work with us as a team to plan, design and complete the job on time starting the day after Labor Day. The task required stripping sanding the ceilings, painting the entire 3 bedroom and three bath unit . New window treatments, removing the tile floors , replacing them with high quality LVP, and throughout plus new carpeting in all bedrooms. Complete renovation of the master Bathroom and a large portion of the two other bathrooms . All new appliances , replacing all new cabinet fronts and doors throughout the unit . New area carpets in the hallway, living room and dining areas. New buildout of a desk area and all new buildouts in the Master Bath to include a beautiful new shower and cabinets . New Ceiling fans throughout, and a lot of plumbing and electrical work to accompany new tiles countertops and flooring in the master bath as well as the kitchen area.Design and installation of new shiplap in the Master Bedroom and dining area.New hardware on all doors throughout the unit as well as all new lighting .The result was a like new modern costal condo.As an old retired Army career officer , attention to detail remains a part of my standards. I discussed this fact with the Pawleys Cottage Team at the beginning and throughout the project to completion . I am certain they will attest to that fact and that I likely was not the easiest client they had to work.The bottom line is they said from day one that if we were not happy with the end product they would do whatever they had to do to make us a very satisfied customer .They did just that, and kept us informed throughout the project with emails , photos and adjusted our plan as necessary . There was never any surprises , cost overruns or any other questionable activity . All business, all professional, and friendly service by their team .Melissa and Mary were always on top of everything, constantly making great suggestions on design and selections . Chris was sending me timely information and suggestions and on the business side of activities, invoices , and the like was always available and open to out needs and requirements. All in all they performed as an effective team. I without reservation highly recommend them and their services . They are clearly the best in what they do in the entire area .John Hay”
