“I have been trying to get my Social Security Card for 6 MONTHS and every time I called they B.S.ed me and said I hadn't sent the right stuff, etc. We got a PO Box and the driver had been delivering to our apartment instead bc they put my regular address on the letter and not the PO Box as written.(I did put in a "forward mail" slip, but stuff happens, there can always be a mix up) after 2 hours on back to back calls with the SSA, They told me just to ask for another one, problem is is that they had my birth certificate and ID. I was crying at the end of it when I decided to call the post office and explain the issue while trying to keep myself together. Liz (an absolute ANGEL) listened to me and drove down to my apartment complex in less than 5 minutes, opened the box herself and personally handed me my mail. The people there are always nice and helpful, but I wanted to hug this woman and invite her in for coffee. After being called the wrong name multiple times, being on hold for 99% of it and bounced back between people at the SSA, I was ready to just die. She restored my faith in humanity. ❤”
