The 1974 horror film, The Texas Chain Saw Massacre, has become a stable in the South, and its film location draw fans from all around the world. It was written and directed by Austin filmmaker and University of Texas at Austin alumni, Tobe Hooper.
Our building/restaurant at 1001 King Court serves as the film setting home of the deranged cannibalistic family including the notorious Leatherface himself. We've changed the previous Grand Central Cafe that had a railroad theme into the sleeker, Hooper's, in honor of the legendary Texas filmmaker who passed away in 2017.
Open for breakfast, lunch and dinner. Hours subject to change, so please call if you are traveling far. Hooper's is located across the street from The Antlers Inn.
