“It’s been over a year since I last bought this pair of sun gold cherry tomatoes. (I hope that’s what they are called lol) and I just picked this week’s harvest … I just let them grow however they wanted bc they are a vine. I’ve pruned it once at the bottom bc it got too heavy, and then pick it up a bit, I don’t even bother searching for suckers, I treat it with Sevin as soon as I get a bug on me which is rare. I’ve notice how much they love to be
planted in a stone pot. I’ve had much success when I plant them in the sun (I’ve tried hiding them bc of this South Texas heat but nah, they love heat even as babies. I plant them deep with only the top leaves showing. I water it every two days, really soak the soil and then add a good quality soil when it needs refilling. They survived well this past winter, I just covered them with a thick trash bag and left them like that for an additional 2 weeks covered, they are survivors. Highly recommend the vegetable selection at Waugh's Nursery. 🍅🌱”
