Ice cream was good, not the largest selection, but enough for sure. Service is good. You don’t generally go to ice cream shops for the atmosphere, which is good, because there really isn’t any here.
Pilgrims from all over Dallas-Fort Worth come to Milwaukee Joe's for its sweet stuff, and the reason can be explained in two words: flavor calendar. Milwaukee Joe's publishes a monthly "Flavor Forecast," predicting tasty showers of peanut butter, chocolate, cinnamon and peach, just to name a few. There are the traditional favorites, such as Rocky Road with mini-marshmallows and almonds in rich dark chocolate. Then there are the original concoctions, such as Wild Turkey pecan pie, which is brown sugar ice cream with Wild Turkey whiskey and chunks of pecan pie. This is not your granny's hand-cranked ice cream---it's much richer and tastier. If that weren't temptation enough, they offer ice cream combined with bakery fresh cakes.
