“Exactly what I was looking for in a vet! Finally! I raise my dogs more naturally and have had trouble finding a vet. I usually go when needed then use a different vet the next time i have to go. I do not like feeling looked down on by the way I choose to care for my pets. Especially since i havent spent countless hours in research before i do anything that could affect my dogs. They are spoiled and happy and 99.9% of the time they are perfectly healthy. So with that being said why would any vet make me feel like I am not a good pet owner? I am by no means anti vet... but i do wait longer to go because of my dread of being judged and that just shouldn't be the case. Im sure there are others who feel the same. The last vet I loved was in San Antonio years and years ago. She practiced Eastern Medicine 90+% of the time but didn't judge me on only doing some things the way she preferred. It was my choice and she respected that. Having to find that same acceptance coming from the other side of things has been tough. I have now been twice to Tyler Veterinary and they were great. They did exactly what I want from a vets office. They loved on, treated, and cared for my dog... and also respected me and my choices. Wish more vets would take note ... whether eastern or western practicing vets.. not every pet owner will agree with you on everything 100% of the time... and thats okay. My vet does not have to agree or recommend my way of doing things (same as my vet in San antonio didnt agree when i wanted western medicine... she never made me feel bad just because it wasnt her first choice). As long as my dog is not being abused, mistreated, or malnourished I feel they should respect my choice regardless if it is their first choice or not. Kudos to Tyler Veterinary Center for finally giving me a place to keep taking my dogs. Only took me 8 yrs to find a place I don't have to stress about going to. Super happy and will be making an appt for my other boxer for a check up so they have him in the system if or when something major comes up.”

“I’ve been going here for over a year now with my Rosie. Very professional and the atmosphere is calm and homey. There’s a sweet coonhound that lives at the vet that sleeps peacefully at the reception desk. The vet techs are very nice and patient with dogs who are a bit anxious like mine gets at the vet. The vet is very friendly and helpful. Heart-worm testing and shots are reasonably priced and wellness checks ups come with a free fecal sample. Also like that the files and medical history are online along with an online pharmacy. Rebate deals on medication too.”

“I love this place. Vet staff are so good and I would honestly recommend this place to anyone (and I do). It really feels like the vet’s and nurses (assistants?) really care about you and your pets and I have never felt so welcomed when it comes to them. I had to go to another vet in Tyler for a farm animal (they were the only place that treated chickens) and the difference is night and day. Shelly drive animal clinic is really great and really stands out with how compassionate and friendly they are.The only downside is the receptionists. This would be a 5 star if not for them. I’ve been going to this place for years and I don’t plan on leaving, but honestly the receptionists are so beyond rude it affects the whole experience and It makes me nervous every time I have an appointment. When I recommend this place I have to say, you should definitely go to this place they are amazing, but the receptionists are terrible so try to ignore them. It seems like they don’t care about you, your situation, or your pet. I have pretty bad anxiety and if my pet is hurt or stressed out I feel even more stressed out, the receptionists just make it worse because they make me feel like no matter what I’m doing I’m a bad pet owner and I’m wasting their time. Even if it’s just a check up. I don’t plan on switching vet’s because the other people there are fantastic and I’ve never felt more welcome at a vet with them, but something seriously needs to be done about the receptionists.”

“Very nice office, with great accommodations fortunately they are one of the only animal hospitals in the county that does rabbies quarantining they ladies in the office are very nice and helpful I'm sure if there are men there they might be helpful also but noone would care anyways so we won't talk about that, anyways would definitely recommend especially if you don't have a choice and your local animal control gives you fine without giving you a fine by making you quarantine”

“They are very caring about you and your pet that you have lost.They are fast at there job told me and my husband that it could take up to 48 hour's and I got my little girl back in 25 and a half hour. The price wasn't bad either but that is based on what size of pet you have. We will be using them again. The actual do a paw print of your dog paw ❤️❤️.”
