“Although the school advocates for technological advancement, it is seemingly ironic teachers still use blurry presentations and continue depleting paper and ink resources. Furthermore, there is high labor turnover which fundamentally disrupts the learning environment for students. I do not advise for students to attend this school because the admin is discriminatory, and IB teachers are not qualified to instruct DP classes. My child had a poor learning experience. Please discontinue this school.”

“We had my son’s one year birthday here last week and the staff did a fantastic job!! Jessica, Stella, Laura, and everyone involved were so lovely, friendly, and accommodating and you can tell they really love children and care about their clients. I would definitely recommend them for your child’s next birthday party or any children’s events you are looking to host! We also plan on bringing our son and daughter back for a regular class as well!”

“Primrose has truly been such an incredible experience for our daughter. She’s almost six months and has been attending since 8 weeks old. It’s hard to leave your 8 week old anywhere as a new mom, but I never once doubted the care and attention she receives at Primrose. Ms. Penny, Ms. Gabby, and Ms. Samira along with all the other teachers in her room take the best care of our girl every day. I absolutely love how many updates and pictures I get throughout the day keeping me in the loop on her day to day activities. “Little Sunshine Playhouse has been an incredible experience for our family. My granddaughter has been attending for six months, and we couldn’t be happier with the care, education, and environment provided.

The staff is exceptional, with a strong sense of tenure and a true “all-hands-on-deck” approach. Everyone is actively involved at all levels, making it feel like an extended family. We have complete trust in the team, knowing they genuinely care about the children and their development.

The curriculum is advanced and engaging, setting a strong foundation for early learning. My granddaughter can count to ten in both English and Spanish, recite her ABCs in both languages, communicate through sign language, and is making great progress with potty training. The support and encouragement from the staff have made this milestone much smoother for our family.

“We love Spanish schoolhouse. They offer so many different activities for the kids to do and really keep the kids engaged throughout the day which is not easy. The teachers are amazing and take such great care of the kiddos. It's a wonderful learning environment and we couldn't be happier with everything our daughter has learned so far. “I spent a year and half researching and visiting schools from Flower Mound to Dallas to find the best preschool for our son to attend.

Without question DKH was the best school. That’s saying a lot as there are many excellent schools in our area.

What stood out the most to us:

1. The class sizes- smaller than other schools. There are a maximum of 12 kids (although we only had 10-11) and 2 teachers. We had our main teacher Mrs. Howell as well as the Spanish Immersion teacher Mrs. Trudeau assisting bringing the ratio down to 6:1.

2. The leadership- this is a female owned and led school. The level of organization and care they put into the curriculum, safety and social development of the kids is unparalleled. Nancy, Becky and Mrs. Howell are unwavering in their dedication towards doing what’s best for the kids. DKH has been around since 1979- 45 years of serving this community has given them an edge in understanding our community and the greater school district to which most of our kids will be entering.

3. Play based learning- Our priority was to expose our son to building a foundation for a love of learning and relationships with others. The play-based learning is inclusive, transcending language and other barriers that might affect learning outcomes making DKH an ideal place for all children.

I truly cannot say enough good things about our experience with DKH. Every time I walk through the doors I feel so thankful that we found this amazing school and that this where our son gets to begin his learning journey.

There is a Spanish program, an early reading program and extended day program. I’m particularly excited that my 4 year old will be in the reading program next year.

The community we’ve built at DKH extends beyond the classroom. We have regular play dates and get togethers with the families we’ve made friends with. They say it takes a village and we’re so proud this is ours.”
