I love this place. I think this is the best antique store I have ever been in. They not only have typical types of antiques such as furniture and home decor but also things like maps, posters, signs, buttons, and pretty much anything you can think of. I highly recommend if you drive by and you see if it's open.

Vallee's Den of Antiquity is a large antique shop and art gallery (The Loft Art Gallery) located on an island in the middle of Lake Champlain in Vermont accessed by a causeway from the mainland. The shop is run by a retired college professor of many years, an author on Antiques and other matters.
The shop was started in 1955 by Velva and Lou McGarity and the famed Arthur Godfrey (who came to the area to fish). It is perhaps the oldest antique shop in the state at the same address it started at. Professor Vallee bought it in 1985 and has been running it summers since then.
Being a large shop it has many treasures and reasonable prices as well--anything from primitives to a Rolls Royce; a large library of some 12,000 plus volumes is also
