“I have been banking at 1st Security Bank at the Sequim branch for almost a year now. My daughter has banked there since they took over from the former bank located there. Neither one of us have had any problems. The staff are friendly and helpful. With these other poor reviews I thought I should balance it out with a customer who has had a good experience.”

“When a third party credit card payment erroneously came out of the wrong Kitsap Bank account and overdrew that account, Kitsap recognized the abnormal activity and immediately called us to resolve the problem. They went out of their way to make everything right. Kudos!”

“As someone new to Sequim I had to find a new bank as my current banking company is not in the area, originally I picked key bank, however after using them a number of times I decided against using it as they had a number of service related inconsistencies and fees that made it not worth my time and money to use them as a primary bank, i dont think they are evil, however I use banks differently.I did look into chase as they had some tempting incentives, but those are locked behind weird pay walls and other things that didn't work well with small business. Sound community bank on the other hand had a friendly yet proffessional atmosphere, high tech ATMs and an APP for my phone that has complete features.Brandi Larson who is the banker who set up my account is an excellent example of ideal customer service, however along with a solid receptionist and on camera ATM tellers that also did there jobs exceedingly well it was one of the most complete banking experiences I've had. I don't think other banks in clallum County are by any means bad but I will say sound community bank is exemplary and sets the standard that other local banks should follow, and it is now the bank I would recommend first.”

“I had a big problem when walking into that branch for the first time. My Chase account that I had opened online was closed 2 days later by Chase's fraud review, after I had already initiated a large international wire coming into the account. Nobody knew why the account was closed, but it could not be reopened. As inconvenient as the whole experience was, the branch manager Mr. Oyler went above and beyond to try and fix the problem for me, skipping his own lunch break. In the end, they had to open a brand new account for me. Which went smoothly this time as they did it in the branch. Sure, my overall first Chase experience was not exactly pleasurable. But if you have to deal with a big bank, I highly recommend this branch. They were very professional and really tried to put their foot down for me within the corporate nightmare bureaucracy of Chase JP Morgan. So, shout out to this local branch for trying so hard to provide great customer service. The fact that the branch manager himself had to wait on hold for over 30 minutes to talk to someone higher up and try and fix things for me is ridiculous. And Chase should really review some of their policies, and give their branches more decision making powers and flexibility. But in the end large banks do have their advantages too, and one thing Chase does have going for them is their online banking system. It is probably the most convenient one I have ever dealt with.”
