“Sometimes I write a review not because a place has yummy food, but simply because the place is AWESOME! Pacific Power Batteries on the east portion of Totem Lake is such a place. My big screen TV died exactly two months after the warranty ended. Other than buying a new one, we want to responsibly recycle the broken TV. Online searches led us to here. I always have some hesitation coming to a private business such as this instead of, say, a King County transfer station. Will they have hidden fees, will they try to sell you something, will they point to a bin and tell us (not strong people) to fit it in somehow??? Well, let me tell you how EASY it was.
We arrived and parked. We walked in and said we like to recycle a flat screen TV. He said, “No problem. I’ll even help you unload.” My jaw dropped a bit. We filled out a single line on a form. We opened the trunk. This taller and stronger than us guy singlehandedly took the TV out of our car, brought it inside, and gently placed it standing vertically on its edge in an open-top box lending against another big screen TV. That was it. Free! No cost! I was so shocked at how easy it was that I forgot to take any pictures. He was brilliant. Thank you!”

“The staff was so helpful and took very good care of us. We had difficulty removing the plate on a used car we just bought. The manager, Siera, got one of her own tools (a ratchet screwdriver) and helped us remove one of the screws. The other screw head was stripped. With advice from Ed, she jimmied up a phillips screwdriver with an adjustable wrench, which provided enough torque to unscrew it. I think a rubber band might have also been used to provide grip. She then helped us find the correct replacement screws and even helped us with a plate on our other car. Amazing service. Highly recommend.”

Huge shoutout to Dane at Batteries Plus in Bellevue.
I own Lovecraft Events, a boutique event lighting and entertainment company in the Seattle area, and I was trying to solve a replacement battery issue for some of our Ape Labs fixtures without spending a fortune replacing entire units.
Dane was incredibly friendly, knowledgeable, and genuinely helpful from the moment I walked in. He helped me figure out a custom battery pack solution, save some money, and avoid a massive headache waiting on expensive replacements from Germany. On top of that, he’s helping us get a quick turnaround so we can keep our lighting inventory event-ready during wedding season.
That kind of service matters a LOT when your business depends on reliable gear and tight timelines.

“I needed a new battery, the associate at Overlake O'Reilly's assisted with testing to see if the battery was actually the problem, provided me with the available options, took out my old battery to get me the core credit, installed my new battery, checked to make sure that my starter and alternator were now testing good and informed me of the battery's warranty information.”
“Stopped in here 3 times in 2 days lol I was staying nearby while on vacation with friends, my check engine light came on, and my car went into low power limp mode. I'm pretty good with vehicles so I didn't need much help to diagnose/repair, but the morning guys here helped out with ordering everything I needed, and let me borrow a couple tools so we could get back on the road. Big thanks to Cody and Nick (I believe?) for all their help yesterday and this morning :)”

They did try to replace it for me but had trouble so I did have to go to another place afterwards to get it installed. Elisabetha helped me and a younger gentleman but I can't remember his name as I write this.”
“everybody at this store is super friendly and helpful except for the manager, every time i have interacted with her she talks in a very condescending manner. my trip there today during checkout i tried to use tap to pay and she stared at me while it wasnt working and then just said “it works for everyone else.” before i got out my card. she then asked if i wanted a receipt which i replied yes to. she then said “well its linked to your account so you wont need it for that”. every interaction ive had with her has been like this. and i remain polite every time. she absolutely should not be the manager.”
