“We adopted our dog, Duke, from the Marshall County Animal shelter around 12 or so years ago and before we could take him home he was neutered at the Tiffany Dlesk Clinic. The procedure went well and he remained a rather healthy dog his entire life. He was the worst and best boy. Haha. For years he plagued us with incessant barking at squirrels, running every chance he got out the front door and down the street, stealing food off the table, bowling over guests as they came in the door and more. He made us so nuts. All. Of. The. Time. He also gave us many, many laughs. Lots of kisses up the side of the face unexpectedly. Lots of snuggles and cuddles when we were heart broken. I knew no one would ever come near my yard when my kids were out back playing without my knowing as long as he was there. So much comfort and security and unwavering love. It made all the trouble worthwhile.

Over the last months he lost a good deal of weight and grew tired. The vets suspected cancer. Last week, that white, soft and furry ball of energy slowed drastically. It was incredibly hard to watch as he declined while still being a steady and constant source of comfort for us, as we tried to keep him warm, comfy and propped up. But alas, he grew more tired and weak, the time came that we knew he couldn’t continue on. We had to provide the relief that we can only wish for ourselves to have when the time comes. No local vets were able to get us in in a timely manner until we called the Tiffany Dlesk Spay and Neuter Clinic.

The receptionist was incredibly kind and understanding as she helped me through my tears to schedule a timely appointment that day. When we arrived with our old man dog in my husbands arms, they welcomed us in and showed us the clean, quiet space where we would say good bye. The staff gave us time
And space to remind Duke of how much we loved him, share tears and pets, kisses galore. They were so kind and understanding. The Dr was considerate and patient as well.

It was one of the most painful things we have ever done and at the same time the relief with ending his suffering in such a kind and caring environment made such a difference.

I want to thank the Marshall County Animal Shelter for allowing us to give this insane dog a home and this family an insane dog to love on and be loved by. He was truly the best boy and our hearts are so heavy and our home has an emptiness that the entire family can feel. We are grateful to have such a wonderful local shelter along with the clinic nearby it that provides such a great and affordable services to families and our furry loves of the this valley.

I wish I had gotten names to thank individuals at the clinic but in my grief I did not remember to, but for anyone who reads this and knows our story from that day, thank you so much.

“A few months ago, my poor cat got stung by a bee and it was late so I was googling any urgent care nearby to help him. Found Animal Urgent Care Center and rushed him over. When we got there, sadly the urgent care was near closing and I didn't call ahead (which was my fault because you're supposed to do that and I was in complete panic mode so I didn't even think to do that).They were so considerate though!! They saw him anyway, despite the time. He had a lot of swelling on his face and they helped him and were so good to him. They gave me multiple prescriptions for him and made sure to explain everything carefully to me. And even the next day they called to check in on him. Their care for my little buddy was so sweet. He is fully recovered now and happy as ever, and it's all thanks to their compassion to help him out. I am so thankful for this place. They really care about animals.”
