“Not only are the purchases supporting a great cause, the items are great deals. The names of the merchandise on Facebook are so clever. They restock the floors quickly. I just wish they had better hours. Monday-Friday day shift employees can't get their at all during the week. We miss all of the good stuff.”

“A charming community theater with great performances. It's hard to believe the actors aren't professionals. I always have a great time at the Actors Guild!”

“I went with my mom to the Salvation Army on front street and they are so nice!! And have super nice clothing, and other items and all u have to do is give a donation! My mom currently moved and needed some help with clothes and other things and we left with a garbage bag. And I was sure to leave a generous tip! The people want to help you and are so kind hearted. God bless”

“Well organized and staffed. Donations went quickly and all parts of the experience were smoothly handled. Just the right amount of concern over disease and infections, appropriate but not overdone.”

“I'm far too young to receive services here but the support they show for the seniors of the community is quite unprecedented. I have and had relatives receive meals and transportation from them through their various programs. The meals they give have gotten more varied and better in quality over time, and I once tried a family member's meal they didn't want; depending on the meal, it can very much taste like a home-cooked meal. The transportation is handy, though can be booked even with a week's notice. They hold a menagerie of activities for seniors at the location on Market Street, most of them seem to keep them in good physical and mental health, with activities like board games, cards, bingo, stretching and simple exercise like yoga and tai chi. Overall it's remarkable what they do; hope they keep it up when I'm of age.”

“I unexpectedly became homeless and needed a place to sleep and shower and they welcomed me and made me feel safe and no drug dealers met me at the door! I would definitely choose the Salvation Army over other Parkersburg options...”
