“I needed to get the screen protector on my phone replaced. The employee at the door told me the wait would be at least an hour, but I could schedule an appointment and come back later. She quickly set up the appointment, and when I came back ten minutes before the scheduled time, Brad was ready to help.He looked up my phone number, found the record of the screen protector I bought years ago, and replaced it perfectly in less time than it took me to browse a few aisles. There was no charge for the product or service.Good job, Best Buy! But more importantly, good job, Brad! I have pretty severe anxiety, and Brad made what could have been a stressful and uncomfortable situation for me very easy and painless. This was right after the holidays, and I was so relieved that he only asked me for the information he needed, only gave me the information I needed, and refrained from any small talk or “How was your Christmas” kind of stuff. It really did make my day better.For people who enjoy chatting with strangers in public, it’s good customer service to ask general questions about nice stuff.
