It takes them 2-3 hours to fill your prescriptions every single time. I used Publix in Pelham instead once about a month ago because I happened to be on that side of town and it literally took them 15 minutes. There is just no excuse

Review is for the pharmacy at Alabaster location. Wife went to the MD for pain in the leg and they sent her to ultrasound to check for blood clot. Turned out she did have one. We were told we had to go to emergency room right then because our physicians office had closed. They prescribed blood thinner and the pain meds. Publix is our pharmacy and has all our info, but our regular one on Huntley Parkway was out of the blood thinner and sent us to the Alabaster Publix pharmacy. Got to the pharmacy an hour and 45 minutes before they closed. They refused to fill the RX's. Said sorry, but they were too busy and still working on the day before stuff. Just really did not give a s__t.

They are not nice at this store. The last time I went they didn’t feel my entire prescription. The cashier said “You’re welcome” and I didn’t say thank you. She did that to be rude. This time they didn’t fill one prescription and just said we messaged you. I never got the message. So done with them🙄 Oh and one time I got a different person’s prescription and didn’t realize it till I got home!😡

Let me first say I’ve used the Publix at Southgate village for years and LOVE the pharmacist team there. When I moved to alabaster I was going to change my scripts to this Publix. It was a disaster. I am chronically ill with several complex medication protocols and they could not handle it. After several tried, I decided to remain at Publix Southgate Village for my pharmacy needs and drive the 20min to use them.Today, I am having a very severe and dangerous infection and had my doctor call in my urgent medication to this Alabaster Publix pharmacy so it would be easier for my caregiver to pick it up. After waiting for 4 hours for them to be filled, my caregiver went up to meet with the pharmacist and wait for them as my doctor had stressed it was urgent I have them filled and started immediately. He waited over an hour for the pharmacist to fill them, when he went back to the counter to pick them up, the pharmacist said they did not have the most urgent and important antibiotic and so they didn’t fill any of the scripts. After dealing with the pharmacist with a very bad attitude he finally had her call in the antibiotic to Walgreens and the pharmacist took another half hour to fill the other two medications which were not filled to completion (incomplete count).I am very grateful I have a caregiver and I am an excellent advocate for my own care — otherwise I would not have received my urgent medication today and would have had to be admitted to the hospital tomorrow (per my doctor). This level of care is not only unacceptable but so drastically different than the care I’ve come to know and respect at the Publix at Southgate Village. It is a shame that I am safer to drive 20min away to Southgate Village than go to the Publix pharmacist a mile away. I hope you will consider making a drastic change to your pharmacy team moving forward. This is both dangerous to your patients and an unacceptable level of care for those who do not have the ability to drive to a competent Publix pharmacy.

Amber in the pharmacy was very rude and inappropriate, I had prescription for my tooth ache and I asked how soon can I get those filled because I'm in so much pain ,she said " it will take One hour and a half to fill this " I asked if theres a way it can atleast be filled sooner than that ,she responded " That's the best I can do ! If you feel that's not soon enough you can go somewhere else!" ,She made me feel unimportant and didn't care , I didn't have strength enough to go somewhere else because of pain and last time I ate was yesterday morning

My husband, Dale and I shop at Pubix every week. We enjoy their staff. They are very knowledgeable and have help me alot of times. We enjoy shopping there!!! I would love to see Publix take a photo each day of their lunch bar like Luckys Foodland Plus at Montevallo, Alabama. Because Publix is only 3 miles from our home. Luckys is close to 10 miles away and I can see what is on their menu without calling each day. You can see what I am talking about click on this link:

I would give them a Negative 5 if I could... Run, run, use any other pharmacy.. We just moved to Alabaster...We had been using Helena Publix Pharmacy for the last 4 or 5 years and never had any issues...They always went above and beyond to help us and we were never treated rudely. This Publix Pharmacy in Alabaster are a bunch of clowns, they're rude and unprofessional...

Today I got the news I’ll have to live a gluten free lifestyle and was devastated because I love food. We went to Publix on lunch like we always do and the manager asked if we needed anything and I asked for gluten free Ranch and shared that I was worried about this big change in my life. He then proceeded to show my husband and myself around the store and so many options I was completely unaware of and even introduced me to the Deli where they made me a gluten free wrap and we’re so friendly! He didn’t have to go above and beyond like he did but he’ll never know how greatly appreciated he was today and how much stress and worry he took from me.

Worst pharmacy I have ever been to. The only reason I get Rx here is bc of requirements thru insurance/employer. Almost impossible to get meds refilled unless you actually go to the pharmacy to request refill and plan waiting an hour plus and they don't always fill what the doctor writes, just suggest over the counter alternative. If I had an option I would go just about anywhere else.

Apparently the Covid return policy here, or lack thereof, allows Publix to sell you stuff that is broken out of the box and keep your money.

I just wanted to compliment Publix in Alabaster yet again. During this covid-19 situation you guys have been going the extra mile. We have used instacart four or five times and found your service to be extraordinarily good. I appreciate all the extra effort on your staff and management.
