“Be careful of the fuel surcharge when you return the car, to the Anniston, Al location. I picked the car up there for a two day rental and returned it the next day. A total of 27 miles was put on it. When picking up the car, it had a fuel reading of 6.1 gallons-a little under haft a tank. Returned it after adding 3 gallons of gas-with a fuel reading of 8.6 gallons-little over haft a tank.. YET-I was still charged a fuel surcharge of $15.99. I needed a car for a short period of time and I appreciate Avis being able to rent me one on short notice. But to screw me out of $15.99-even though it was and is noted on the return rental agreement-that the car had more gas in it after I returned it, than when I picked it up-is pretty darn sorry.Update: Oct 18, 2022. Within 24 hours of my post here, Avis responded back to me. After providing them the information they requested-I was informed a refund was being processed.”
