“Lighting Design and Show Room was the best shopping experience for my new house. When you see the store from the highway, you might think it's only a lighting store, but it's not. It has furniture, fans, beautiful home decor, beds, and a room in the back with tools, windows, doors, and lots more. They have a great clearance selection too. I was so happy I found them on Facebook, because I never thought I could find so many things for my new home, in one store, with awesome prices. Colby, the sales associate that helped me, went above and beyond to help. I couldn't ask for a better shopping experience. If you are building a new home, remodeling, or simply wanting to decorate or upgrade your home, you must try shopping at Lighting and Design, also known as Lighting Showroom in Oxford, Alabama. I HIGHLY RECOMMEND this place.”
“As a long time collector, I wanted to share my favorite place to find all of my treasures - Alabama Dish Outlet. I live in Metro Atlanta and make the voyage out to Oxford AL often to add to my ever growing collections. Margo - the lady who owns and runs the store is amazing and truly a well of information. I’ve been going to her for years to help me track down all of my amazing Flamingo pieces - and she ALWAYS comes through. Better yet - her prices are ALWAYS lower than I see online. I wasn’t able to get a picture of the huge “Misfits Room” where a trove of 2nds are housed but I have spent hours digging for buried treasure (and have found the most incredible things - a pin pop on the very bottom of a Flamingo pitcher for $20 - I think I might’ve screamed a little). I know that they ship but don’t have an online store as far as I know. Give her a call - I’m sure she either has it or can find it pretty quickly!”

“They do not have a good variety of Christmas items, and what they do have is scattered throughout the store. You would have to play "seek and find" to find Christmas in this store. I don't want to have to go all over a store to find what should be in one section of the store. Also, the items I did find of Christmas decor, was VERY EXPENSIVE! NOT WORTH IT!”
