I'd give Win Dixxie 5 stars, but lately, they haven't been handling Western Union well. I've been there a couple of times, and the workers always mention the system being down. It's disappointing because I love going there, and it's close to my house.

This particular location of Winn-Dixie is just off of Interstate 20. I have to say that I am a fan of Winn-Dixie. The supermarket chain did decline for a few years there, but finally they did a turnaround and started coming back to their former glory. The best part of Winn-Dixie's turnaround was in their meat department. First, for a supermarket that proudly called itself the "Beef People," Winn-Dixie lost track of their vision and started selling cheaper grades of meat. Their beef went from USDA Choice to simply USDA Inspected. If you don't know, USDA Choice is a superior grade, second to Prime, and USDA Inspected is almost always a terrible piece of meat. I guess Winn-Dixie finally realized the error of their ways and put their focus on USDA Choice cuts of beef. They still have those cheap USDA Inspected, but those are the less focused. Kudos to Winn-Dixie for this turnaround and I would definitely recommend this particular location of Winn-Dixie.

Best ran Winn Dixie in the South, with superior employee service and same in their six star pharmacy.

Love this store! It has some age to it but they still have quality goods. Their meat and seafood prices can't be beat for the quality. The employees are friendly and helpful and there are always plenty of registers open. Don't pass this store up because there are newer options. You'll save a ton by visiting this location.

Winn Dixie stores are the staple grocery stores across Alabama. I live in Tejas now, and if I had to make a comparison I would say Winn Dixie is the equivalent to Albertson's. Not as nice as a Publix, but a bit nicer than Piggly Wiggly / Food Outlet, ya know? This one in particular is my favourite. There are a couple others that are actually closer to home, but I drive just a little further to do my shopping at my preferred store. Idk what it is, but it seems to be a little cleaner and nicer than the others and the produce section is a lot better and just seems fresher. Customer service is a hit-or-miss though. The front cashiers are usually rude and snobby .. But the people who work in the back/stocking/meat counter are extremely friendly and always willing to help!

items on sale don't ring up at sale prices which is annoying. self checkout registers are a hassle. publix employees are much friendly and professional. aldi and walmart are much cheaper.

Clean, mostly friendly employees, and fully stocked with stuff to buy. It's a grocery store, so I don't know what else you would expect in a review.

I was trying to avoid the craziness of Walmart. I ventured out on my own to Winn Dixie. The store is well stocked and their is pretty much everything that one would need to cook anything. The only thing I didn't like was how everything was organized. I couldn't find anything. Items were not shelved in a logical manner and complimentary items were not sold near by a main item. I had to walk across the store to find some complimentary items for the meal i was cooking.

Nice place to do your shopping. Great meat department, has everything you need for your Barbecue. Produce is fresh, and they also have a large selection of wine.
