I bought a tire for my zeroturn $211 with taxes(over priced) it lasted about an hour , went back to the store next day, they said tire was old and I was trying to scam them showed my receipt then they said I installed wrong side , I told them the other tire was lnstalled like that and still is in good shape , they didn't refund my money also they were really rude with the exception of another employee, be careful with them, try to go somewhereelse

Best place in Athens to buy a lawnmower. I have bought 3 lawnmowers, 4 blowers, 3 weed eaters. Staff is knowledgeable and great to work with. In house repair shop is top notch.

Just a heads up for my local folks...I would avoid Dixie Auto Parts on 72 at all costs.I bought a brand new mower belt for $100 and it snapped within 10 minutes.They refused to exchange it, and said I either installed it incorrectly or something was wrong with the mower.I attempted to take the belt off the counter and walk out and told them I'll just file a complaint with the BBB. Well the employee grabs the other end of the belt and tells me to "Just wait a minute." Thinking maybe he came to his senses, I stayed. But instead he continued to tell me that I was the problem.Meanwhile, my father-in-law came over and inspected the pulleys and bearings and said the mower was fine. Reinstalled the old belt and mowed the yard with it. (I only bought a new one because the other one was so old and starting to wear and fray). So it's obvious the new belt was defective.Oh, and the return policy on the receipt only said no returns on electronics and special orders, and has to be within 30 days.. Which I was.If you're bored and just feel like being gas-lighted, this is your place. Otherwise, I would shop elsewhere.

Have been using Dixie Auto for a lot of years. Bought a Toro Zero Cut Mower, Chain Saw, Blower and other things I just can;t remember. Have always let them repair and service my mower. Have always done a great job. They have always called me to inform me of what the problem is and how much it will cost to have it repaired. Have taken chain saw in a couple of times for repairs and guy there looked at it, adjusted something and it started right up. Both times he did not charge me. I would recommend them (and have) to anyone that needs a new mower, blower, chain saw, tiller, etc. They are good folks to do business with.

They are all about customer service. I've gotten used to employees in most stores avoiding their customers and never knowing where anything is, so I was taken by surprise when almost every employee in the store checked with me within the first 5 minutes of stepping inside.
