If i could give this place 0 stars i would, i called them and let them know they had my baby daddys dog that was taken from his yard, & they told me that the dog was at the vet & would be back the next day, when my baby daddy went to get his dog back ( hes hispanic) they took him in a room & basically told him that if he said it was forsure his dog they was calling the cops on him, but that if he said he wasnt his dog then they wouldnt call the cops & the dog would be adopted out to somebody the lady personally knew…. My baby daddy just lost everything in a house fire along all the memories my kids had there with the dog. & for that lady to take advantage of him being hispanic and being scared to have the cops called on him is very disgusting. (My baby daddy took very good care of him) he was also always with his other dog a little small one & she is no where to be found. Those two dogs where inseparable. The whole thing is very fishy to me & this place is an absolute joke.

We just went in the cat areas. The facility was clean and the people were so nice and helpful! Even though they let me leave with 2 cats instead of just 1! Lol!

Doing an amazing job at social media and working with rescues to find unwanted animals homes. It’s really made the old shelter step their game up themselves.

We have made numerous calls requesting help and assistance with a neighbor who will not keep his pitbulls contained to his yard. They have crossed over into my family members yard and on two different occasions attacked her, once sending her to the hospital. What's it going to take, a news article saying that they killed her? Animal Control is useless and so are the police because they haven't done anything to help. Nor have they even acted like they care.

Have a dog in the neighborhood an never had there shots I have one that is a house dog an I’m afraid to let her outside because this Dog Runs the Neighborhood an I have done ask them to do something about this Dog before it Kills mine an they haven’t Done Nothing to this Dog An It’s Still Running this Neighborhood I live in a Subdivision an they need to do something about this Dog ? An I thinking about Calling animal control But Then Will They Do Anything About This Dog ?

Please someone explain this to me. Today I talked with The Long Way Home animal rescue. I explained I was interested in adoption of a dog and was interested in looking at 2 they had in heir facility. I filled out the information they needed on their website and had great hopes in a meeting. After speaking with the lady she informed me that without a fence on my 13acres in the country yard I would not be a candidate for adoption. I attempted to explain that this dog would only be an inside dog to be leased for restroom relief and NEVER be left alone outside. She swiftly cut our call off. If this is the way adoption processes are handled it is no wonder they are overwhelmed, under financed and begging for donations while condemning the breeding and purchasing of animals. My first experience at adoption has completely turned me away. I was told by others that this was an impossible process. I am sorry that they were correct!
