We had to bring our almost 18 year old baby(our dog) to be put down. When I say everyone, I mean everyone was so very helpful, compassionate and extremely caring. She was so sick, had stopped eating for a week and we had tried everything but it was time to end her pain and suffering, from the moment we walked through the door they were there. Gave us as much time as we needed to say our goodbyes and stayed with us in a very nice room during the procedure. It was one of the hardest decisions we have made, but just knowing that there are so many people willing to help you in your time of need means the world. They are all angels!

Auburn Veterinary Teaching Hospital has lived up to its reputation as a state-of-the-art animal hospital. The professionals are extremely caring, knowledgeable and compassionate from the moment you enter the vast facilities. After each visit with our pup, the oncologist and assistant sat down with us in the privacy of an exam room and explained in detail what they were doing to save our beloved pet. Upon return home, we received an email with a thorough explanation of care, recommendation of treatment going forward and any symptoms that they would like us to report by phone. Wow. A doctor that asks you to call. Incredible.

Grateful to find a cat friendly vet. I took my two 1 year old Persian cats today and had an excellent experience. I'm very pleased with Dr. Nicole Barnes and will definitely return with my other 2 Persian cats in the fall.

Amazing staff! I had a few concerns about my elderly cat. They were very calm and sweet with her, even though she was grouchy and scared, and they were patient with all of the questions I had. Thorough treatment and great pet care :)

Staff was very courteous and vets are some of the best for horses? They were very understanding when we had to get a rented trailer back in time.

SMITH:MisdiagnosedMistreatedNegligently performed surgeries on suffering 10 yr maltese after mos of symptoms pointing straight to heart disease. Wrote off as allergies:Apoquel, Neurontin, Zyrtec, steroids over and over, for more than ten. months. Under these circumstances did TWO surgeries intubation, general anesthesia - high risk for heart patient.just teeth clng and mole removal BUT NOT critical !!Never ONCE pre-op test, scan NOTHING. I Begged for help as his health declined unexplainably. He cudnt sleep, walked the floor at nite, jumping up and jerking when he just tried to sit or lie breathing , coughing worsened. Asked her cud trachea be collapsing? Guessing she says yes u cud be right. Finally an xray. Smith sees not trachea- enlarged heart. Gives benazepril for blood pressr. Too late. Shudve been done ten mos ago when symptoms all reported. Henri collapses suddenly. Forget Smith. Went to Tuskegee- all right tests done and severity of conditions FINALLY REVEALED. By now with NO TREATMENT FOR A YEAR HEART HAD PROGRESSED TO SO ENLARGED, valve tore, fluid build up So bad, lungs under too much pressure to breathe. Performed fluid drainages to no avail. Held Henri in my arms while put to sleep.Having PTSD watching my emotional support pet suffer and die had life altering consequences: sleep deprivation, panic/anx attacks, severe depression and loss of hundreds AND thousand dollars for reckless pet medical care and loss of life and quality of life in what she brought on as last year of life. Requested refund for 10 months of misprescribed services. Smith says Sorry, NO.Any first yr vet student wud know the risks Henri was put through.Just want this known as all these good time reviews dont depict whole truth.
