Walked in in clear sight of bartender and she was too busy flirting to care that people needed to be served. 10 minutes after she completely ignored me and my husband she says oh one minute I’ll be with you shortly while she was practically sitting in one customer’s lap. My husband had to loudly ask if we could get some service before she acknowledged us. Worse service ever

Probably the best liquor store in Athens. Widest variety selection of Liquor. Although I don't smoke, but the tobacco options looked quite extensive as well! The staff is very friendly, and always welcomes questions.

With such great ratings, I have been extremely disappointed. Visiting for my first time, no greeting from anyone at all, employee or patrons, sat at the bar ordered my drink and a patron told me “I can’t smoke here”. Pointing to outside or the back room, you have to go there. I walk into a dark room with no lights, no music, no TVs, drills sitting in the booth, a couple crowded in a corner who didn’t even acknowledge the only human who walked into the room and said hello to them. I hadn’t been presented an ashtray and had to ask for one with my own cigar in my hand which the waitress tried to sell me. Then she told me they didn’t have my drink. And what cigar establishment does not have any matches??? I bought a new lighter because they couldn’t find theirs. God, what a disappointment to a much needed cigar getaway I needed.

Bait and switch taken to new levels at Cigar & Fine Spirits.Okay, we've gone to Cigar & Fine Spirits maybe 20 times over the last 3 years. Over the course of the last 6 weeks, we've been there on Wednesdays 4 times. Wednesday is half-price whiskey nite. The signage and advertising state "half price whiskeys, scotch and bourbon, 3-9 pm."The first time, we learned that Blantons and Buffalo Trace were "allocated" and we had to pay full price when the bill came. The next time we were there, I asked what was "allocated" and in going through the list, I was informed that Blantons and Buffalo Trace were "allocated" and fully charged on half price nite - but others were not. So we asked if Glenfiddich was allocated, it wasn't, and we were happy. The next time we went, I ordered Glenfiddich 12 and Bookers only to learn that Bookers was "allocated" when the bill came.We love the people that hang out there, and the music when available, so we gave it one more shot. Today we ordered Honey Jack, Glenfiddich 15, and a couple Eagle Rare bourbons only to have the server tell us after the fact that she was sorry, she spoke to management, and Eagle Rare is now "allocated" after I was told it wasn't -- and apparently the owner when called wasn't going to make an exception -- even though we were misled. I thought fine, what the heck. Then when the bill came, apparently "Glenfiddich 15" was charged at full price and is now "allocated" too.Two thoughts, whatever we order becomes "allocated" because the store's management has a personal issue (and the staff members both said, that I should try working for the management - it isn't easy). Otherwise, it is beyond me as to why they wouldn't have patron-friendly menu guides is beyond me (e.g., all they would need to do is put an asterisk by "allocated" whiskeys). This is a classic bait and switch promotion - and even though we appreciate the staff, and we will miss others...our group will no longer be patronizing Cigar & Fine Spirits.
