Customer service is terrible. They didn’t bat an eye when my card was fraudulently charged or try and get my money back. They ignored my emails and never got back to me or kept me up to date. Renesant will not be personal or do anything to help you.

Fantastic, friendly & efficient service of a small local bank with no strategically hidden fees, or fees at all for a regular checking account.I also had my mortgage with Renasant for just about 4 years & never had any issues whatsoever with making payments & was immediately given all documentation allowing for a smooth, stress-free short-sale purchasing experience. My mortgage loan is now paid in full & I’m still with them & will remain with them as far as I can see, indefinitely.This on the back of a HORRIFIC experience at the bank formerly known as Charter Bank (after the sale to the new institution) absolutely destroyed my credit after 20 years of no issues whatsoever beforehand. After the sale Charter, the fees charged by the new bank overdrafted my account & spiraled quickly. I went in & paid everything off (even though these fees were hidden in the contract & charged MONTHLY on an account that was idle for at least 1.5 years) bc

Have had problems with this bank. I have had to tell them multiple times that I wanted a restriction on my card when there weren't proper funds and they did not listen. I was slammed with fees that I was paying back for months when I unknowingly over charged my card. I am a college student, so it was difficult to find the money to pay my bills and buy gas and food, etc. when I was constantly having to fork over money for fees. I recently went on vacation and they put my card on hold with no notice or warning. They are only open on weekdays, so I am not able to reopen my card to buy food, pay bills, or buy gas this weekend. The only reason they have two stars instead of one is because the employees are personable.

Worst mobile banking ever! Password always needs to be reset. Literally the worst ever! If Renasant mobile banking were a bug it would be a roach.
