Pros: decently close to campus (straight shot down Glenn); pretty quiet, despite being along I-85 (just a faint hum); plenty of good options near Sam's or in Tiger Town. Con: pricey for a notably dated location, with an upcharge for the standard buffet that's free at other hotels, and lacking the activities of other HGIs.
Walkability: Nope unless you're going to the Italian restaurant next door (which I recommend).

Broken HVAC on arrival at 6pm with only 50% checked in & manager would move us to a working room. Management claimed to Diamond desk there was a maintenance man working the issue yet no person was in the room while the 3 parties were on the phone.

I have stayed at this wonderful hotel several times, visiting with my husband, who has dementia. The front desk staff, manager, cleaning service, and restaurant staff were five stars compared to other hilton properties. Most highend hotels like Hilton and Marriott properties do not have complimentary breakfasts. But, the breakfast at this Hilton Garden Inn was delicious and priced less than popular breakfast restaurants. Also, Hilton will include a breakfast in your room charge when you make reservations or at check-in. I hope this clears the problem the visitor had with no complimentary breakfasts. Maybe a 3* or some 4* hotels have free breakfast.
The staff at this hotel took care of me when I had one of my recurring falls and watched my husband for me. This hotel is my home away from home. I am 76 years old and have stayed in hotels all across the US, and this hotel is the best!

Stayed 2 nights for a family event at this hotel. It was not up to what I expected from a Hilton. The front desk staff was friendly and helpful, and the lobby was clean & nice. Pool was nice but very crowded with teenagers so was not able to use it. The rooms were sub-par. Our room had a rather moldy smell, and decor was outdated from the 80's and furniture badly worn. Bed was ok but very low to the ground. Bathroom was quite small, not very well lit (for putting make up on), floor tiles were cracked, and ceiling drywall was bubbling probably because they had no bathroom fan and you had to leave the door open or the whole bathroom was wet like a sauna. To top that off the breakfast was $7.95. No complimentary breakfast. You would think after spending over $200/ and 28,000 Hilton points you would at least get a muffin or yogurt without a lady chasing you down and charging you. We travel a lot, and this was definitely not what I expected from a Hilton Hotel.

We were treated like Royalty from the second we walked in the building through our entire experience. Breakfast was Five star. Everyone I encountered that worked at Hilton displayed the utmost Level of great service and commitment to detail . This is one of the places you stay that makes you feel so comfortable. It doesn’t feel like you left home **Thank-You to the entire staff Lee.

Great location and accessible to everything you need! Upon entry, the hotel clerk was very short and was not welcoming, even when I called the front desk the answers were short and felt like I was imposing on his time. However, the Friday staff team was welcoming and a pleasure to be around. As a Hilton Honors member, I was not given the expected perks of being a member and welcomed as an Honors member as other Hilton places always have. The elevator and rooms smell dingy and the carpets are definitely out of shape as they are frayed and coming away from the walls. The room itself smelled stale and dingy, the bathroom door is scratched and the paint is rubbed away at the bottom and has a noticeable gap between the frame and door. The beds were not comfortable and worn out. I always stay at a Hilton, but this was the worst one by far.

If I could, I’d choose zero stars for this hotel.
Walking in, the receptionist was clearly on a personal call in the office. He wanted to be sure whomever he was speaking with, knew that he’d call them back just as soon as he could get rid of me. He was short and acted bothered during our brief encounter. I wouldn’t dare hold him any longer.
Elevator- nasty and old smelling with disgusting carpet.
The room was so dingy and smelled just the way it looked! I wiped the hard surfaces down and my wipes were dirty afterwards. I can only imagine what’s in the carpet and drapes.
They didn’t even bother vacuuming the room as evidenced by the candy and wrappers that remained underneath. The carpet was also stained very badly. I literally booked this hotel because I needed a few hours of sleep when my kids and I got stuck in deadlocked traffic. I paid $150+ for the worst room I’ve ever stayed in. I didn’t sleep a wink because I was so uncomfortable because of the subpar conditions of the room.
**See pics of underneath the beds.

This is not a Hilton unless Hilton was bought out by Motel Six. The sink drops. The toilets sit

Jackie and Sarah were absolute ROCK STARS!! Definitely saved the day and made us feel closer than family! Customer service and professionalism seemed to be a theme with the staff as they all went above and beyond. Rooms were clean, beds comfy, pool was good. Only negative was the hot tub being broken and there was no sauna. 10/10

First off, the employees here are fantastic, which is why I'm rating the hotel 2 stars. As always, your opinion may vary. If you like a hotel with dated/worn decor, soundproofing poor enough that you feel like you're sleeping in the highway median instead of just close to it, and that doesn't follow Hilton's policy on upgrading status-holders, this is the place for you! For me, this is probably the final straw with Hilton as a chain, as far too many of the properties I've stayed in this year have felt dated ans worn. In this specific case, there are plenty of upgraded rooms showing for the duration of my stay, but I was told none were available for a complementary upgrade. Sorry Hilton, but 2 warm bottles of water and one of the lowest value points programs aren't enough of an incentive for me to bother trying to maintain status with you, and I encourage other business travelers to check into status match programs from competitors as well.

Always cleaning efficient, the rooms could use a little updating. I know this is the middle of college football season, but the rooms are showing a little bit of wear and tear.
