Bessemer Pet Clinic

Veterinarians
Hours: Bessemer Pet Clinic is a small, privately owned animal clinic that has been serving the community in downtown Bessemer for over 40 years. They used to offer a 7 AM drop-off service and Saturday hours, but these have been temporarily suspended. During the week, they break for lunch between 11:30 AM and 1:30 PM and check in their last patient at 4:30 PM. The clinic is known for its caring staff and down-to-earth atmosphere, with prices considered reasonable compared to other vets. The team truly cares for animals from their hearts, and the clinic has been a trusted place for many pet owners for over two years. Recent visitors have shared positive experiences, especially with pet boarding. One customer boarded their 1-year-old Lab for 5 days, and the staff was exceptionally kind and attentive. The experience exceeded expectations, providing peace of mind for traveling. Many appreciate the warm, caring environment and the affordable prices. The clinic's veterinarian, Dr. Khan, is highly praised for phenomenal service and dedication. However, there have been some issues with communication. A customer was disappointed when they called to make an appointment and arrived to find the doctor was only taking appointments, feeling that the receptionist was rude and unhelpful. Despite attempts to clarify, the situation was not handled well, leading to the customer deciding not to return. Conversely, other customers had positive interactions with staff, finding the receptionist pleasant and helpful, and appreciated the care their pets received, including treatment for ear infections and a charming collar with updated information. Overall, Bessemer Pet Clinic offers attentive care and a dedicated veterinarian. While most experiences are positive, the clinic recognizes the importance of consistent communication and professional customer service to ensure every pet owner feels confident and valued.
