I found it amazing that this bank has been in business since January 7, 1899, making it the oldest bank in Alabama. You never know what you might discover by stopping in small towns.

Bank of Brewton began as a result of community need. It is the oldest bank in the state of Alabama, and the first bank established between Mobile and Montgomery. Today, Jerry M. Kelly, Jr. is president, and Bank of Brewton, still home owned and operated as in 1889, continues to serve the greater Brewton area as a full service bank.
