Since my last review they’ve made a bunch of good changes.Staff are much more knowledgeable about what they have in stock, prices are still the best around for lumber and building supplies. Quicker checkout. And ironically they are one of the few businesses still doing some form of germ-spreading prevention. Thanks guys!

Outrageous prices, very uncomfortable to talk to employees.Today I went down to Marvins to get a 1/2 inch impact gun bit. I found the needed bit and found that the price tag had been removed, I saw that they had a shorter inch long stem version for only six dollars and presumed the four inch stem would only be a buck more. So I take the four inch stem and go to check out and how much do I end up paying? $22. Twenty-Two dollars. You can bet I’m returning that as soon as I can

Marvin’s Brewton, Alabama location has a great new manager! Since she began her role as manager there is a remarkable difference in the store, employees, and service. See below:1. I went inside early one morning to try and locate materials for a project that my grandson needed for school. This lady was knowledgeable, kind, and demonstrated concern for our children. She and I spoke about the possible supplies and within about 5 minutes she offered exactly the items required to finish.2. Yesterday I went by the store and priced a dryer to replace our current one. There was an error made. I called the store this morning. The gentleman who answered connected me with the store manager. She was apologetic first. I explained that I was irritated with the situation not her. I drove over right away and was met upon arrival. The correct appliance had been pulled. In less than 5 minutes my truck was unloaded and reloaded with the correct item. The manager had the young man who worked there push the appliance forward on the truck, then secure it with nylon straps.I am so grateful that Marvin’s in Brewton, Alabama has a store manager who demonstrates concern for customers!

Over priced! I paid 119.00 for a small black and decker hedge clipper that is battery powered. I have one I ordered last year that cost 40.00. Exact same model.Everything in there is priced higher than our local furniture stores for appliances and other goods..

Literally the worst customer service I’ve ever encountered, given more chances than I should and will not give another.

Brought back a can of Valspar medallion paint that was supposed to be tinted black but definitely without question dried very navy blue. When I came in the two people at the register couldn't even be bothered to look up from their phones when I was talking to them. After I completely explained what was going on with paint and how it was drying navy blue and reeked of ammonia I was told they couldn't help me with that and somebody else knows how to do it. Thats when they finally looked up from their phones. They opened another can of paint and because that can reeked of ammonia also they said there must be nothing wrong with the paint. 50$ absolutely wasted but you can afford for 2 of your employees to stand around playing on their phone. I went to Sherwin Williams where the customer service was excellent. The paint was cheaper and they definitely tinted a true black for me.
