This particular location was well stocked and had someone to fill propane. The store was clean but the pet washing station was disgusting. I would not take my dog there to bathe them because it didn't appear to have ever been cleaned. I would have given 1 star on that alone but I didnt come to use it and the rest of the store was cleaner and more orderly than may other locations.

Pet wash station is absolutely disgusting. This is the closest location to us, and we were so disappointed in the lack of care and cleanliness. The tubs, floors, counters, EVERYTHING is dirty, musty, no air flow, and there’s never clean towels available. The used dirty ones are piled on the floor in the corner. For 10 dollars a wash, this is crazy.

I NEVER leave reviews, but this place has absolutely earned one — and not in a good way.
The self-wash area is beyond unacceptable. For $10 a wash, the bare minimum should be clean facilities and basic supplies. Instead, there were no towels, mold crawling up every corner of the walls, and water flooding the entire floor from a broken tub and trap. It felt less like a dog wash and more like a health code violation waiting to be shut down… again, apparently.
Yes, the shampoos are “salon grade,” but they should be diluted at 16:1, which is dangerous and can legitimately cause chemical burns. The dryers? Missing nozzles, barely functional, and completely useless — as the owner of three standard poodles in full coat, I would've had better luck blowing on them myself.
What makes this worse is that we already complained to a manager a month ago (back before the mold took over), and somehow the conditions have gotten even worse. When we brought it up again today, the cashier laughed and said, “Yeah, I bet it gets shut down again for health reasons.”
If even the staff expects a shutdown… that says everything.
Pro tip from a groomer: if you’re brave enough to use this place, bring your own shampoo, your own dryer, your own towels, and honestly… maybe a hazmat suit.
Now we get to head home and dry three dripping wet poodles, because even they have higher standards than this facility.

I’m quite shocked at the other reviews because my husband and our dog Layla had an absolute wonderful time in this TSC ❤️. Wonderful man named Brad greeted us, told me Layla was welcome to come in and pointed out the different areas of the store. I was completely at ease and the selection of dog products was amazing ❤️. Looking forward to using the dog wash station in the future! We had a great time and my favorite thing was they had a veteran parking place! ❤️🇺🇸❤️. I have never seen that and as my husband is an Army veteran I was so honored for him that we got to park there ❤️

INSTEAD OF DOING RIGHT HAND TIGHT TURN INTO PARKING LOT AND MAYBE HITTING POLES AND CURBS JUST GO TURN RIGHT ONTO FRANK ST BY BEDZZZ EXPRESS. GO DOWN HILL HALFWAY. MOVE TANDEMS FULL FORWARD FOR TIGHT TURNS. AT BOTTOM OF FRANK ST TURN RIGHT THEN LEFT ON LHS OF STOREFRONTS TO ENTER BACK ALLEY TO TSC PLATFORM DOCK AREA ON RHS OF TSC. LINEUP WITH PLATFORM DOCK. MOVE TANDEMS BACK TO UNLOAD. AFTER UNLOADING MOVE TANDEMS FULL FORWARD BEFORE LEAVING. TWIST AND TURN THRU PARKING LOT BACK TO CHALKVILLE MTN RD. THERE IS A FIRE LANE RED CURB ALL ALONG THE BACK ALLEY BEHIND THE STORE FRONTS. FOR TSC DELIVERY JUST PARK IN FRONT OF THE TSC PLATFORM DOCK.

WORST EXPERIENCE EVER!!!! I came to try the dog wash station and got to the store an hour before they close. plenty of time to wash my dog. Justin at the Trussville location was VERY rude. Stopped me from entering the dog wash area because he was going to be closing it an hour early so he can clean. No where on the website does it say the dog wash area closes an hour before! I wasted over an hour both ways traveling to do this. Waste of time and gas.

Why even sell propane? Today employee stated something broke on it, other days they get off early , then they out.. stop wasting customers time and not even offer it. Went back in last night, ask for propane , Jake and his associate was about to lie again or give another excuse until I stated is corporate aware how y’all do customers about propane then Jake changed his entire mine and stated someone will be out, then here she come moving like a turtle very unfriendly.. Each time I receive bad customer service I’m leaving a review.

Great customer service and atmosphere. The store was well maintained and stock. The bathroom was clean. The parking lot was clean and nice. They had great selection of products.

Kayla was rude to me when I asked for her help after I was told wrong info regarding where sand was. Never found the sand, thankfully ACE hardware has much kinder employees & I found the sand there.

Besides the customer service not really good they close at 9pm well I can't tell you how many times I've gone by there to get something and it be 8:15 or 8:30 and they got all the lights on the outside off any the open Sign is turned off and walk up to the door there closed 45 minutes early and they in there looking at you like your stupid
