The store and employees are usually well mannered and they stock it good. However the cistomers can be rude and dangerous. Today a younger man almost hit me at 7:30 AM with a 95% empty parking lot. I had a cart from the return and walking to the door, he parks necxt me and almost handicaps me within inchesof his car. Then he gets out and tries to bully me with his finger at my face. Its always a parking lot issue in BHM, AL. They never realize that they are breaking the laws, even crossing the center lines and blocking you or hotting you straight on. Its worse than jousting. Its insanity, horrible drivers always crossing over the center lines double yellow. Our neighbor was killed in such an accident and I was almost and totalled in a Ford Expl. a year ago. And they abuse elderly people and call you elderly if over 50 yrs old, which is not correct. Im over 50 and I dont get any ekderly benefits, at all or govt. Assistance at all. And its ruder than before Covid, 2024...dangerous and rude.

Automotive center review: I came in early, with no appointments scheduled until 9:00 (as told by the older male employee). There were literally no cars there, but he denied my service and said he couldn’t get to my car for another four hours. Bizarre. He was rude, sarcastic, and obviously preferred a certain race over others. He then told me I could set an appointment for an oil change online but proceeded to set one for me on his computer. I’ve come to this Walmart multiple times and have never had an issue or encounter like this one, nor have I ever had to set an appointment for an oil change. I will never return here for any service.

This Walmart, I think, is a bit better than your run-of-the-mill Walmart. It's never over busy, and they do a good job of keeping things stocked (most of the time). My only major complaint is the checkout experience. I'm all for the self checkout as I can get things set out and then bagged the way I want. I work late afternoons/evenings, so I'm usually there between 8:30 and 10:30.Now they have, I believe, 5 of the regular sized self checkout aisles. The same size as the ones that have a cashier. All the cashiers are gone, of course, but they also shut down the big self checkout aisles as well. That leaves the tiny ones only. The ones that have room for maybe 8-10 items, depending on the size of said items.I do all the grocery shopping for the wife and I, so I may have 25-40 items on any given trip. So it's impossible to unload my cart before I start scanning things. So I have to pack that little shelf area with whatever I can get to balance there, and then rearrange the stuff in the cart to make room for the bagged groceries. Then repeat until complete.Of course it's not the end of the world, but it is a pain in the arse, and it pretty much doubles my checkout time. And since there are no aisles with cashiers available, there's no other choice. What's the reasoning behind this? Save money having to pay fewer employees? I don't think so, because at least half the time there are two, sometimes three employees standing right there, talking amongst themselves.I even tried going there one day around 2:00 pm, and still, the large self checkout aisles were all closed. If Walmart is going to force their customers to check themselves out, the very least they could do is to make as convenient as reasonably possible. There's an awesome Publix just down the road that I love to shop at. Problem is it will cost me ~ 30% more to do that. And on $200-$250, that adds up in a hurry! So, Walmart, please keep the large checkout aisles open for your customers. No matter who you are, time is money for us all.

Walmart really needs to cut a deal with Instacart like Publix did or find a better way to manage their pick up orders. I'm currently sitting in the pick up line, which is where I've been for the last HOUR waiting on an order that's been scheduled for 2 days now. This is the second time I've used the pick up feature and the first time was just as bad. You can't even get through by phone to tell them you'll come in to get it and lord knows I don't want to confuse them any further.

I do grocery pickup often but lately every single time I’ve either had an item missing or they have given me expired food. They gave me already rotting hamburger meat that expired TWO WEEKS before I picked it up. This is absolutely unacceptable. Grocery’s are too expensive to just throw away. Do better.

As always a great place to shop, Walmarts are typically laid out the same, so it's easy to go in the direction that you are looking for goods and products. Some Walmarts have a better selection and available items on the Shelf than others, but overall just an easy place to pop in and grab what you need and leave.

I shop there at least 3 or 5 times a week, because my wife drinks a lot of Cokes and i eat a lot of sweets. But i wish they would lower the prices a little bit.

This Walmart has some of the nicest and helpful employees. Every time I shop there I find everything I came to shop for. The pharmacy is really good as well. I’ve also used the Auto services. The mechanics are very fast and always do a great job.

Bad thy sale tires with a warranty but can't make a appointment unless you are buying new tires so I had to set from 2:20 till 5:40 to get my tires balanced.. I would not recommend using them

Worker's that doesn't want to work or help anyone. Most are rude and say that's not their department so they don't help you. Products aren't being kept in stock on lots of items. They don't open new check out lines even when there's more than 5 or more waiting to check out. Regardless if you're checking out through self checkout, basically doing what they are paid to do. They also complain if you use more than 1 bag even if it's for heavy items such as milk and etc. Fed up with them and have changed shopping to where ppl are nice and helpful and also has really good prices. Good bye Walmart!!!

I had a $300+ order which I self- checked out. I was watched and treated like I was shoplifting. I don't know if it was because I am old or because I am white as the person doing it was both young and black. I now only shop there when I need something I can't find elsewhere AND I NEVER SELF-CHECK OUT any more. Also my orders are now $20-$50 and it has become my store of last resort. When I contacted the store manager, she defended her employee and told me I could order online. If I have to do that, I will order from Amazon because they deliver to my door. I have to pick up at Walmart. I've heard the ads where Walmart will come into your home and put away your groceries. WHY would I trust them when they don't trust me? Chelsea, Alabama Walmart has terrible customer service and gave me a very unnerving experience.
