The store and employees are usually well mannered and they stock it good. However the cistomers can be rude and dangerous. Today a younger man almost hit me at 7:30 AM with a 95% empty parking lot. I had a cart from the return and walking to the door, he parks necxt me and almost handicaps me within inchesof his car. Then he gets out and tries to bully me with his finger at my face. Its always a parking lot issue in BHM, AL. They never realize that they are breaking the laws, even crossing the center lines and blocking you or hotting you straight on. Its worse than jousting. Its insanity, horrible drivers always crossing over the center lines double yellow. Our neighbor was killed in such an accident and I was almost and totalled in a Ford Expl. a year ago. And they abuse elderly people and call you elderly if over 50 yrs old, which is not correct. Im over 50 and I dont get any ekderly benefits, at all or govt. Assistance at all. And its ruder than before Covid, 2024...dangerous and rude.

I prefer this Walmart to the one in Greystone. I looked up on their app for my item. It showed where it would be and they gave the aisle and even showed it on a map. I went into the store and couldn't find it. I saw three employees who were helpful and one even guided me there. I didn't wait at all at the self checkout lines. I had a very positive experience. The restrooms are clean and modern. I've done pick up here about five times and I never wait more than two minutes for them to come out. Not once did they make a mistake. The app is so easy to use. I think Walmart gets a bad rap!

Now I shop at many of Walmarts but I don't like being followed by employee me and my son was shopping and a old white woman picked up a item and would follow us then when we stopped she act like she was putting it away and watch us she did these many rows on large main rows and smaller rows she did these in toys and part of electronics. Every time my son would put his hands on something she make a comment how kids should not touch or run he is 3 years old in toys and trying to figure out what Santa needs to bring. These made me very mad that she was following us around like that and made me well I had mix feeling but it was very upsetting that a employee would do these and it made feel like she thought that I was going to steal. It was just me and my son on Friday I got paid looking to see what Santa needed to bring. I wasn't best dressed hole in jeans dirty shirt hands covered in paint but I work construction and came right after work so if she was thinking I would steal based on how I look these is wrong. I was so upset about these that I left leaving what items I had in my buggy in the clothes section. If she done it once she probably done it to other customers. Be careful at these store .

Honestly, this is my favorite Wal-Mart to go to. It's well organized and they always have what I need in stock. They have a great grocery selection. Expect to do self checkout though - there are never more than 2 registers open - even during peak holiday times. They do have plenty of self checkout stations though.

I have been a loyal customer for years and have raved about how friendly all the checkout personal have been. I am not happy that I have to put in a complaint but I feel I need to address several grievances I have about this store. Since the coronavirus, we all have to contend with wearing masks and the rules that go with this pandemic. After so many years of knowing where everything is, this store has decided to switch all their products to different isles, making even harder to shop. What are they thinking? Also, infuriatingly, there is VERY limited checkout stations. There are noticeably several personal just standing around while lines are waiting to be checked out!! I do hope Walmart will acknowledge this complaint and do something about it. It is hard enough to shop these days.

We have used the online pickup since it came to Chelsea and I'm so thankful for this service. One employee stands out, Brooke, as she goes above and beyond her responsibilities to greet us and cheerfully interact with the kids. Thank you Brooke!!

We usually go to express oil change for our regular automotive maintenance, and we will continue to give them our business. We went to buy groceries at the Chelsea Walmart, and we thought we would have our oil changed while we shopped. When we pulled around to the back, there were two young men who stood there and stared at us for a very long time before slowly moseying over to the car to see what we needed. Their body language, facial expressions, and the way they spoke all told us that they did not care about the service they are there to provide. It was so clear that they did not want to be there that we decided not to have them change our oil. It is not safe to trust things like automotive repair to lazy and apathetic individuals. We bought groceries at this location, and there were two individuals who had very helpful, polite, and accommodating personalities. There was a clerk at the front named Sabrina, and there was a young man named Keathen working in the store. Both of these people were good examples of customer service. I only came across Sabrina because the first person I encountered, the clerk working in Lane number three. Was quite rude as well. I walked into her lawn and greeted her, and she just stared at me. So I'll let an older gentleman get in front of me, and I changed lines. Although we did come across two friendly individuals during this shopping trip, the rude ones really soured me on this location. Walmart needs to invest some time in training employees to deliver service with a smile and leave the bad attitudes at the door. They could use a dose of whatever Chik-Fil-A is using to develop true customer service.

Will never use pick up here again. This is at least 3 times that I have waited at least an hour to get my groceries. I could have gone in and picked up everything myself and will from now on. Ridiculous

Lots complain about Walmart and yes there are few employees now to help you. But the online order and pick is great no running around looking or if not in stock they order and tell you when it's ready to pick up. Saves me time and frustration. So thanks to the employees in pick up!!

Youw the paper towels in the decorative box; the ones that hang on a towel rack and pull out individually to dry hands. These are great for guests who may want a fresh towel instead of a used cloth one

My husband went to Walmart in Chelsea to purchase 30 forty pound bags of fertilizer yesterday, 9/12/2018. He asked the person in the garden area if he could get someone to help him load them. The fellow told him no, that they don't do that, and pointed toward the fertilizer, saying "it's back there". I told my husband that I would never step foot in that store again, so I called the Alabaster location. I told him what we needed and asked if they could help my husband load it. He said that everybody that could help was "getting ready to go home," but I could call the next day and see if there might be someone there who could help him. I told him Walmart had always helped me load bulk materials without my even asking. He said "well, you'll just have to check back, and maybe there will be someone here to help you tomorrow, I don't know." I then asked him the store manager's name, and he said, "he's getting ready to go home too and he's probably already left." I said well I will see. I called the store back and ask for the manager, and he was, in fact, there. I told him what his employee had told me and also what the Chelsea employee had told my husband. He was outraged and apologized profusely. He said if we would come to his store that he would be SURE that we were taken care of, He also told me that I could be sure that he would get this straightened out and it would never happen again because it was nonsense, and said that he had no idea why his employee would say such a thing. He also suggested that I contact the Chelsea store manager, saying that she needed to be aware also, because this was unacceptable treatment of their customers. I called Chelsea asking for the store manager. I explained what had happened earlier that day. Her name was Vanessa and she was more outraged than the Alabaster store manager. She was so courteous, telling me that they are there to serve their customers, and I could be sure that she would take care of all of it. It turned out that Alabaster didn't have 30 bags, so after talking to Vanessa, she said if we didn't mind coming back, she could promise us that the issue would be rectified. What a mess! I am writing this review because I have to say kudos, big kudos to Vanessa. This lady knows how to manage. She is a leader who leads her employees by example. She met my husband in the garden area, and she, yes she, Vanessa, the store manager, helped my husband load 1200 pounds of fertilizer on his truck. THAT is a real manager, dedicated to getting a task done, even if she has to do it herself. She is the type leader that I am certain will make sure that this issue never happens again. Walmart needs to take note and hang on to her, because she was one impressive lady.

Much better Walmart than the one at Brook Highland, well worth the drive if that's your closest Walmart. Better selection, cleaner, friendlier employees and an overall better looking store. Plenty of parking and has a Murphy USA on site for an easy fill up after you get your groceries.

The Chelsea, Alabama Walmart has the most horrible customer service people working in customer service !!!!! Every time we have issues with something the lady with the braces in customer service is rude. She seems to make up her own rules on returning items and policies about returning items, since whenever she refuses a return even with a receipt or is argumentative about a return we take our item and go to another store and have no issues what so ever at a different store. She is extremely lazy. Need to fire the lady with braces in customer service if you want to keep customers.

Hardly worth talking about, workers are not helpful and they lie about their paint quality. Straight up lie.
