Cedar Point Pier, now a Mobile County park, reopened on April 11, 2022, offering free access for fishing 24/7. There are no admission fees, and no fishing license is required for Alabama residents, making it an accessible spot for locals and visitors alike. The pier is spacious and provides a scenic, relaxing environment perfect for family outings or simply enjoying fresh air and nature. Visitors often catch smaller fish, like white trouts, and sometimes see larger fish cruising by, especially around early morning and late afternoon. The fishing community is friendly, with people willing to help each other with gear or advice. The pier has amenities like restrooms, with snacks, ice, and fishing supplies expected to be available in future seasons. However, some visitors noted that recent debris and trash have affected fishing quality, and crab catching has become less common. Overall, Cedar Point Pier remains a popular, longstanding spot for fishing and outdoor recreation, appreciated for its size, friendly atmosphere, and scenic views.
It was a very pleasant afternoon. The wind was blowing not too high and it was cool. It wasn’t hot. Everyone seemed to be having a great time catching fish. I didn’t fish, but others did and a great time was had by all.

Best fishing place!
Well it used to be before the brother sold it to MC!! Now, you can’t crab, you barely catch anything due to debris and trash. We don’t go as much as we used to and that sucks after nearly two decades of this being a family spot of ours!
